I've had about 40 people link that to me over the past couple days. I think the fact that several of them obviously have the pitch altered lessens the effect, though.
Question for someone who wants to enter the art:
What music editing software should I get that balances value, ease of use, and functionality? I'd love to make mashups myself (and actually put my musical education to use instead of letting it rust for the past several years).
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I'd say FL Studio is your best bet.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.@Alucard: Sounds more like a BRO-country mashup than anything.
(NOTE: I'm not a country fan myself and am just referring to how many people refer to those artists as bro-country).
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.DJ Hero might have been a stupid game to play, but dear god it had an amazing soundtrack.
There needs to be more rhythm games with all-mashup soundtracks.
Here's a hilarious gem.
Justin Bieber Vs. Slipknot - Psychosocial Baby

Not often you see a live mash-up.

Oh wow, someone actually posted one of my mashups in here? Nice. Thanks.
I need to get back to posting up ones I've done.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. Here's a sorta out of left field one I made a while back:
That shouldn't work as well as it does.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.Figure I'll revive this thread for something nice for everyone.
There's this site called rave.dj. You go there, push the big "Mix It Up" button, search up two tracks on YouTube that you think might go together well, wait a bit, and it makes you a mashup. Sometimes they are really good. Here are the good ones I've been able to get so far:
Queens Of The Stone Age & The Chemical Brothers - A Rockin' For The Beats
Limp Bizkit & Eminem - I'm 2 Shady Now (feat. Method Man)
Tom Waits & Les Claypool - Whamola Right Up
Nonsense is better than no sense at all. Here's one I did not expect to work at all.
Limp Bizkit & Metallica - World Cobra
Nonsense is better than no sense at all.Staind vs. The Offspring - It's Been Away. Doesn't work all the way through, but when it does it sounds pretty good. Maybe I just feel vindicated because these two songs have been kind of reminding me of each other for a while.
Ministry vs. Ministry - I Wanted To Tell Her Thieves. Yes, both songs in this mashup are by the same band, originally released only six years apart from each other - but their first album had so much Early-Installment Weirdness that you can scarcely tell.

Some more stuff combined with rave.dj. This first one is probably the best I've ever gotten.
LMFAO & Mick Gordon - Party Meathook Anthem
Pantera & Nicola Roberts - Hell From My Drum

Nonsense is better than no sense at all.
Well, that's colossally embarrassing.
