...eh. Why. I dungeddit.
Read my stories! My favorite strips out of the series is the Girls one (Holly owned the Fourth Wall), Crying ( Aww... ), and the Pass one ( Wow! Three anime tropes at once!)
And I don't understand why you compared Rain to Isabella Swan.
And Rain is suppose to be feminmine. She's nerotic (which leads to a lot of funny moments) and a Shrinking Violet. Plus, the characters are cute.

The exact same thing happens in the strip I linked to and the first book.
Read my stories!Hmm... Shout-Out maybe? I should ask the creator about this.
If it's a shout out, that makes it even worse. Whether it is or not though, it still reaks of Black Hole Sue -dom.
Read my stories!I once mentioned Black Hole Sue on one of the comments (or was it a PM?) and the author didn't know what it was, so I dropped the subject.
The reason why I'm reluctant of linking it is because I feel that it would mean that I'm bringing the author into the agrument, and I would fall into Fan Dumb.
Most transsexual individuals generally know at around 4 years old. It's not uncommon for them to have thought that they'd 'grow up like mommy' when they were kids.
Hell, for a lot of individuals, their gender identity issues go back to their very first memories.

...
Well, if it helps, I CAN be polite when I want to (shocking I know), but even when I'm being bawdy like the post on the last page, I do try and make somewhat good points.
Miij: :/ Really now? I mean, it makes sense to always feel the opposite gender, I just assumed that much like homosexuality or a fetish or something to that extent, you don't actually realize what those feelings were till you're older.

Read my stories!Yes. It's actually the norm for transsexuals.
Could I get a link? The few cases I have seen tended to not be quite that.—is interested—

Read my stories!I once read that homosexual children usually feel like they're different from their peers.
Remember, Little Lynn is also a transsexual. She pretty much did the research, and even Shown Her Work once or twice (the long list of questions that Rudy asked Rain near the beginning of Chapter Two are ones that are commonely asked-and are face-palm worthy).
I think this thread is getting a little heated.
Chih: Yes, but feeling different and realizing you're gay is two different things.
If she's a trans, then yeah, I'll concede. She still did it in the most narmy way possible.
Oh, yeah. This isn't heated. This is a polite discussion. What posts are you reading?
Read my stories!Eeeeenteresting. Heh. Odd. Usually I have a good gut instinct for these things. It's why I was so skeptical. My 'pologies.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut. It was still narmily done.
Read my stories! Also, keep in mind that the author of Rain is also a transsexual. She would've done the research and might at least know if Rain's situation is plasiable.
In the FAQ she admits she has no experience of passing and transitioning in college. It's not that it's plausible it's that it joins the wave of comics which make this look too easy.
Yah, 'ts really not that easy.
Huh. I never realized I was trans 'til I was 16 :/
There are too many toasters in my chimney!I think the prolouge was suppose to by a little comedic.
A new comic came out today: http://rainlgbt.smackjeeves.com/comics/1125211/a-real-couple/
What do you think?
This must be the best one artisically so far: http://littlelynn84.deviantart.com/art/RAIN-p-41-Smokescreen-199413259
Is anyone still interested?
Yeah, it's completely generic. Does absolutely nothing else other comics have got going for them, and with poorer art. Plus it's becoming increasingly difficult to take the artist's 'social commentary' seriously when they rely on overly dramatic strawmen that only ever seem to come up for things she dislikes,

Nope.
Never been interested in transgender comics. They tend to be either slice-of-life pieces (a genre I don't care about) by an actual transgender trying to tell part of his/her life story, or a bizarre piece of fantasy wish-fulfillment by someone who isn't actually trans.
And when the actual transpeople on the site are dismissing it, yeah...

...Now I'm tempted to link this page onto Deviant Art.
It's Write What You Know and Author Appeal. Little Lynn went to a Catholic high school too, so at least it's better than decepting a public high school in an inaccurate way.
...But I wonder how Aunt Fara got the money...
