Gaiman has/had 3 seasons plotted out in theoretical terms (not sure how much of that Pratchett had ever discussed before passing) so the story hasn't changed so much as the format.
Also in vaguely related terms and may have been mentioned already but the graphic novel adaptation became the most successful comic book project on Kickstarter of all time (and still going) which is pretty impressive. And superb timing by the creators...
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."I vaguely remember reading that S2 isn't based on his and pratchett's sequel notes at all but S3 would be? I may have that very wrong.
His writing partner for this John Finnemore who I like a lot so I need to check it out maybe when Star Trek's ended and I can switch paramount plus for Amazon.
You are correct:

S3 is/will be the "original" sequel with S2 as new material Pratchett was not party to at all.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."Finished s2. I agree that I was overall underwhelmed — Beelzebub/Gabriel felt very awkward as a resolution and at the end I was like, "I guess?" In a weird way, most of it felt like reading a cozy fanfic about their history together more than it felt like a good season of tv. The last scenes straight up made me go "I didn't need an s2 but now I need an s3" though. I hope they stunt cast Jesus.
Who wants to bet that Neil had the fandom's Ineffable Bureaucracy in mind when writing this season? Considering he directly interacts with his fans on Tumblr, I don't think he couldn't have known.
I got the feeling that Aziraphale was somewhat flanderized in this season, becoming much more bumbling and out of touch that in the first season or the book, while Crowley seems more competent and lucid, both in the present and the flashbacks. I thought this breaks the symmetry of the book, where both of them were more or less on the same footing. Here Crowley is the one who advances the plot while Aziraphale does on the whole very little of value (they both suck at understanding humans though). Possibly this was to set up the difference of their positions in the ending.
Apart from that I'm always peeved by how people seem to consider that love has to be physical/sexual, but I know I'm in the minority here.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.I think that's true and undoubtedly because Gaiman sees himself more in Crowley and Pratchett saw himself in Azi.
So Crowley gets amped up.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Good Omens will be getting a final third season.
I still need to watch the second season..
New theme music also a box
Right, but Amazon hasn't ordered Season 3. They won't order two seasons at once. I figure Gaiman wouldn't write that ending without knowing where Season 3 would be. That was somewhat of a given.
