I approve of this idea wholeheartedly.
I think the fanbase loves Mr. L a bit too much, actually. Maybe it's because he's an affable villain version of an already loved character. He's extremely saturated in fanworks.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. And there are other characters that get the Mr. L treatment too. Also, relevant.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Is it just me, or is it blatantly implausible that Alvin is ever going to finish this series before he's an old man? There are supposed to be fourteen episodes. In just the first season. Does he plan on hiring or recruiting a team of animators, or something?
(´・ω・`)Me Too!, dude. Me too..
I wouldn't be surprised if the series never gets finished. Seriously, 45 episodes!? How does plan on making all those episodes with this kind of schedule!?
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Quit bumping this thread, it makes me think that a new ep is out!
Why I am afraid of fences.Or we could keep the discussion going, so there wouldn't need to be any bumps. :I
(´・ω・`)^ Yeah, we should do that.
So, are other characters like DK, Daisy, Super Paper Mario characters or characters from the Wario series (like, say, Cap'n Syrup) slated to make appearances?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I believe that Chaos will be the villain in the second season.
Also Wart is in the intro movie so expect to see him sometime during the Mecha Sonic arc.
(´・ω・`)The second arc? Alvin will be dead before that happens.
Why I am afraid of fences.Yeah. I know he has the skill to make all the episodes, but with his schedule, that's pretty much impossible! How does he expect to do all that!?

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!So this series is more or less dead huh?
CAUSE EVERY GIRL IS CRAZY 'BOUT A SHARP DRESSED MANAbout as dead as this topic should be, yes.
Seems he's devoted to his furry art, if his DA page is anything to go by.
It's rumoured that ep 9 will appear on April Fools Day of next year.
If it turns out to be true, I will tip my hat off to Alvin Earthworm as one of the greatest trolls in history.

Damn! I thought there was an episode out due to this topic updating.
Yeah, I think this flash cartoon is dead. This updating hiatus is very long.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Normally I would be telling people that they just have to be friggin' patient. However, I have to admit, Alvin may have pushed all the wrong buttons in the down time between episodes, because he ended it on a huge cliffhanger, said that he split the original episode in two so he would only have one fight to work on, and said he was going to incorporate a new powerup from the Galaxy games. And yet, it's almost two years later, longer than any other wait, for what is going to be apparently half an episode, and will likely end on another cliffhanger. I am fully inclined to believe that all of his plans for the rest of the series are hot air. He WILL not accomplish those plans in any sane amount of time at the rate he is going. People don't plan for series like this and try to fulfil those plans without either focusing all efforts on it, or making it a group production. Having it be a hobby for a series that vast is laughable.
I at least want him to release Episode 9 in some shape or form, just to give closure on the Basilisx fight, (That, or he will release a "Fuck you" ending that has Basilisx decapitating Mario, leaving Sonic, Yoshi and Luigi to get imprisoned/killed and Mecha Sonic becoming god and destroying the earth to end the series). But for the series after it? Yeah. I don't see it happening
A corpse should be left well enough alone...I use to watch it. I use to think it was a great flash cartoon. I use to love it. And I use to like his artwork too {I'am going to get wierd looks for this lol}.
But then The series took forever to update, And alvin decided to too do 2 rather jerkish things that I won't mention unless someone really wants to know {Plus, they might be a little off topic}, and I lost any respect for him, and Most of my intreast in this series.
And despite him saying that he'll update more often, I think we all know that isn't going to happen. If smbz fans are lucky, he'll make 2 more episodes and then stop, but he will lie by saying that he's still making the series. But in the end, one thing is for sure: He's going to take long enough to make the creators of duke nukem forever blush.
Hey guys, guess what? SOMETHING ACTUALLY HAPPENED!!! SCENE 1 OF EPISODE 9 IS HERE!!!
Okay, it's only one scene, but hey, better than nothing, am I right?
EDIT: Okay....I found out that it's actually the last scene, because he discontinued the series. Aww man. Can't say I didn't see it coming though. At least the cliffhanger got resolved.

A corpse should be left well enough alone...For those curious, the announcement is here.
"Reality check" is right. I figured this series was dead back before Episode 7 was out, though I guess an official cancellation serves as a better nail in the coffin than just letting it fall to obscurity.
I'm curious if Alvin's "creative death" (for lack of a better term) is solely an animation issue. If he's got the plot written down then someone else could easily take control of the reigns, but if he's struggling with the story then this series is best off dead.
I'm really sorry to hear that SMBZ is over, but it was kind of inevitable given Alvin's problems, and this resolution to the cliffhanger is probably the best way he could have finished it off.
Groovy.Sometimes that's just the way it goes.
At least it was a fun ride while it lasted.
One Strip! One Strip!
Read One Piece. And Super Paper Mario if you don't know what they are. Or look up their respective pages.
