The pun was intentional. There wasn't a thread for this here, and the search bar only brought up things about the animeh series, so I decided to make this thread to discuss Yugioh cards.

So, to start this off in the wonderful year of 2011, 2½ months away from the next banlist, how are you doing gamewise?

What's your favorite card?

What's the strategy you love/hate the most?

I run a Solar Flare burn deck with some Ultimate Baseball Kid for beatdown in a pinch, a God deck that swarms EARTH monsters as trib fodder for Obelisk/Dreadroot/Barbaros, and a pretty standard Blue-Eyes/Five Header centered Dragon Deck complete with some Tuners and a Darkness Metal.

I run some outdated decks... well they werent when they were in, but they are now. specifically, I used to run Six Samurai, Frog OTK, and Darkness.

one of the last things i bought was 2 of the marik structure deck. im sure thats old news by now.

Six Samurai. -shudders- Oh god, the swarming. Not as bad as some of the crazy broken Infernity/Karakuri/X-Saber decks around these days, but still...

Anyway, anybody's free to drop me a PM anytime if they'd like to duel.

Used to have a bunch of cards, but now they're all over the house, so I bought a tin at a flea market. It was filled pratically to the brim in old cards. I built a deck out of those.

My strategy? Defense position/traps until I pull Relinquished or some other biggie. I use Sangan and Sonic Bird to get Relinquished.

That's awfully old school. Don't see many people using Relinquished these days.

[up][up] Indeed, but it's pretty funny when you know that their deck uses a very powerful monster. You wait for them to summon it, and then you steal it.

Relinquished as some pretty ace support nowadays with the Ritual Djinns coming out. Along with Ritual Buster.

And with the arrival of Norsewemko (i know it's Northwemko but the english name bugs me) and "Garlandolph?", Ritual monsters could see more play.

I'm actually thinking about getting back into playing the YGO TCG games for DS. I stopped playing the TCG way back when it was Classic form. Anyone got any quick recommendations for someone who has been out of the loop for a long time?

I run Dinosaurs lately. Mostly Jurracs.

Sadly, it's not working out that well for me.

I'm hoping that as time goes on I can put together a Nordic deck.

Acesoldier: Can't really help you. I'm more or less in the same boat.

Ehhh, depends on how deep your wallet is, and your preference on playstyle.

YGO is stupidly expensive now if you want even basic cards.

I think the cheapest deck might be Gravekeeper's, thanks to Structure Deck: Marik. You'll still need to shell out for Synchro's/Gravekeeper's Recruiter, though...

I no longer play in real life (being a cheapskate and all), but I do occasionally play a few games online (OCG and TCG). Currently working on a Karakuri deck, as well as a purposefully broken Six Samurai deck.

So, a standard Six Samurai deck?

Pulled some of their new support out of a pair of Ragnarok packs today. Planning to set them ablaze while laughing maniacally.

...If you don't want them, you could always trade them.

Anyone going to the mall tour? I need a favor...

I'm not, since I'm not American (and don't play the game in real life).

As for Six Sam setup... there's a few ways you could go with it. Which cards do you have from Storm of Ragnarok, and do you have any Gateways?

Kinda surprised nobody in this thread's wanted to gossip about Exceed Monsters.

I just had an awesome test duel, Dragons VS. Gods. God deck pulls a Beastking Barbaros and wipes the opposite side of the field. Dragon deck draws Future Fusion, dumps two White Stone of Legend for Five-Headed Dragon, then discards the two Blue-Eyes added to its hand along with a Red Eyes Darkness Metal for Montage Dragon with 7800 ATK.

My dragon deck just dealt 4800 damage to the opponent in a single attack, after plowing through an 8-star monster.

I would have been gossiping about Exceeds, but y'all went quiet and I didn't want to double post.

From the revealed Exceeds, I think that Exceed Gadgets could be viable  *

. Speaking of Ultimate Offering, the new banlist's been confirmed. Or the OCG one has, anyway. And the TCG one's almost always the same.

^ You should see my Karakuri Machina Plants. Or, in the OCG, Karakuri+Meklords+Machina.

That's actually really terrifying. Exceed monsters are even more splashable than Synchro monsters.
