Pretty much, yes.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.^ same. I assued it was somethign stupid and generic.
I mean really, Buffy as a name? Very few would take that seriously.
In fact theo nly reason why I decided to watch it was becuase I knew this place's origins were from that show and it's page was ginormous and I couldn't understand why SO by stroke of luck, Season one happened to be on youtube and with the help of watch-series.com, the rest is history.
Also, while the season of the Trio wasn't as good as previous ones, I still found them to be a fascinating concept and I just sort of wish they were better explored. But I sort of wish the gay one wasn't soooooo annoyiiiiing....
And who else was thankful when Cordelia was gone?
When All Else Fails, you have fun and flirt wit da ladies, dats da Drawings way!I was. Much as I loved Cordy on Angel, she was very annoying in early Buffy.
Much like Angel himself, she really needed to get out of Sunnydale and away from Buffy before she could grow into a respectable character.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.That pretty much describes what I did. Though it being Joss Whedon was certainly a factor; if I hadn't just come off Firefly and Doctor Horribles Sing Along Blog, I might not have started.
Buffy introduced me to Joss Whedon. Not long after, I started watching Angel too. And then Buffy's fifth season ended and we rolled back to reruns of season one, and I saw Angel and went, "Hey, he kinda looks like the guy from Angel." And then he introduced himself as Angel and I went

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.First Buffy ep I saw was an FX rerun of "Bewitched, Bothered, & Bewildered." I laughed my ass off and fell in love with the show right away. Though, until the very end of the episode, I somehow thought that Cordelia and Drusilla were the same person, so my interpretation of the character dynamics was . . . off, to say the least.
I got into the show after seeing one of the 3rd season episodes... Faith, Trick and Hope, or something. The one that introduced Faith.
So, yeah >.<
Faith is definitely my favourite character :3
There are too many toasters in my chimney! She is definitely great. Her episodes in Angel's first season are what really endeared me to the character.
Helped that those episodes also punctuated Angel's growing of a spine.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.And taking a level in badass.
It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile. So, Angel. Should I alternate episodes with Buffy? Should I watch of season of one, a season of the other? Wait 'till I finish Buffy? What's the best way?
He's nearly always been badass, just very much of a wuss any time he's around Buffy. That's one thing I hate about Buffy/Angel; Angel turns into a big pile of pudding whenever she's around. He becomes soft and malleable and loses himself.
Their clash over Faith was something he really needed for his development as a character. Being able to actually stand up to her, to look her in the eyes and say, "No, I don't care what you came here for, this isn't about you so stay out of it." was very important for his growth.
^ Whatever works. If you decide to alternate, keep in mind that Angel's first season corresponds to Buffy's fourth. It spun off after 3.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Yep, I just finished the third season, and I've only watched the first episode of four.
The Faith arc in Season 1 of Angel was awesome. My fvourite part of the season.
I also liked Faith in Season 4 of Angel, though not so much Season 7 of Buffy.
Her run in the comics was pretty cool, too.
There are too many toasters in my chimney!^^ There are a few episodes that correspond to each other between the series, but they're few and far between. So while you can alternate, you can also just watch the one or the other straight through and not feel like you missed out on much.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I just watched one show until I got burnt out, then switched. Sure, not the most orthodox method, but it worked for me.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet. The ones that correspond are: Angel 1x07 "Bachelor Party" leads in to Buffy 4x08 "Pangs" which leads to Angel 1x08 "I Will Remember You." Then the awesome Faith arc: Buffy 4x15 "This Year's Girl" and 4x16 "Who Are You" lead to Angel 1x18 "Five by Five" and 1x19 "Sanctuary" (this one leads to Buffy 4x20 "The Yoko Factor," too.)
Season Five only has one crossover during Buffy 5x17 "Forever," but the season finale leads to the end of Angel's season finale, too. Season 6 has an intereting non-crossover crossover (where Buffy after returning from the dead and Angel after learning she is alive meet off-screen somewhere). This was mainly because Buffy was now on UPN, while Angel was still on the WB.
Season 7 has one crossover, with Angel's season finale, 4x22 "Home," actually contains an important plot point for Buffy 7x21 "End of Days" and 7x22 "Chosen." Angel shows up at the end of "End of Days" and the beginning of "Chosen," but only for a few minutes.

I <3 that Faith arc.
There are too many toasters in my chimney!@TB but he never jumped at helicopters...
It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.I haven't seen Angel, but I am planning on giving it a shot as soon as I can borrow the dvds from a friend or the library. I don't want to buy something I might not like.
"Weird doors open. People fall into things."I'm going to start watching Angel soon. I saw episode one and found it to be fascinating.
And I'm guessing I'm the only one here who didn't care for Faith?
When All Else Fails, you have fun and flirt wit da ladies, dats da Drawings way!Yes >.<
Why didn't you care for her?
There are too many toasters in my chimney!I love episode one of Angel.
Seriously. How many series open with the hero completely and utterly failing to save the girl?
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.All of mine!
There are too many toasters in my chimney!I didn't care for her personality, she bothered me greatly. I didn't care for her personality, even when she turned to the good guys.
When All Else Fails, you have fun and flirt wit da ladies, dats da Drawings way!
I take it you were one of the people who judged it by the name "Buffy", like I did?
