Well, no. That's not actually a good example. Transexuals exist even when there aren't really easy magic fixes for being trapped in the wrong gendered body. When there are, you should expect more people who for whatever reason decided not to go through invasive surgery to do the easy magical equivalent. They exist, and just because it makes some people uncomfortable, there's nothing really 'wrong" with the depiction of one.
A better example would be the very next comic that shows that Luna actually liked her tusks as a kid and Mookie lampshades the fact this is against established continuity. Of course,
1) Why did Mama Travoria wait so long to take her daughter to an alterist? The sensible thing to do would be to take her as a baby before the tusks do any lasting damage.
2) Why DIDN'T Mama Travoria take Luna to another Alterist? Is Elanora going to stop her? Becuase there's plenty of people who will do it for the right price.
3) If Elanora is one of Luna's personal heroes, where did this vehement dislike of alterists come from?
4) Almost every character who is not a friend of dominic and co has done the fangly face at her or insulted her tusks. How the hell was child Luna EVER happy with them?
It's the little itty bitty observations really.
I stopped reading this because:
- After reading the whole archive and staying up with the story, I couldn't figure out what was going on.
- I couldn't tell some key characters apart.
- Reading it daily wasn't enjoyable.
I did like some arcs. I don't think the hatedom is proportional to the actual flaws *.
That's the kind of details I'm talking about, though I tend not to notice them. That aside, I think I'm allowed to dislike transsexuals whether it'd make sense in the world of DD or not.
Likes many underrated webcomicsYes, you are, and we are allowed to say that there is no logical reason for you to do that.
Read my stories!NLK, out of curiosity, what's the deal with Trannies? I figure that you, disliking the homosexual community, would support people who are actively trying to become a member of the opposite gender when they realize that that is where they belong.
My only goal in life is to ensure that Mousa dies of a stress-induced heart attack by the age of 23. READ THISI'm liking this arc quite a bit. One thing that does annoy me from time to time about Dominic Deegan is how the main cast's moral outlooks and beliefs are frequently treated as perfect. It's nice to see Dominic's world views get challenged like this for a change.

OHHHH! So THAT's why sidemouths are unholy abominations...
...
Holy crap, this started in 2002! That's the same time EGS started! And the art has barely improved at all! Holy crap!

Read my stories!Look, I'm trying to drop the subject, so sorry, but I'll keep quiet. And please don't keep at it, you're prone to.
Likes many underrated webcomicsAnd HOLY SHIT, I thought Shive was bad at feminism, he has NOTHING on this bastard! I mean WOW! This is the shittiest characterization I have ever seen! Holy shit this is HILARIOUS
And oh, oh wow. This is what I call bad plotting.

Read my stories!^ Uh, what?
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Sorry, just started reading this series, and I'm just basking in how obviously bad it is.
It's so refreshing, after having to read only subtly bad series.

Read my stories!AHR, could you ease up on the trolling? We're trying to enjoy a good webcomic here.
My only goal in life is to ensure that Mousa dies of a stress-induced heart attack by the age of 23. READ THISI love you Cakkie. Oh yes I do. You are adorable and munchkin-like and you have such fluffable hair.
AND THIS COMIC SUCKS AND IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY INSIDE!
Read my stories!ಠ_ಠ Not sure if troll.
My favorite character is Luna. She's a nice female character, and proves that females don't NEED to be beautiful or fanservicy in order to be complex and deep.
My only goal in life is to ensure that Mousa dies of a stress-induced heart attack by the age of 23. READ THISWoah, you're comparing EGS favorably. You really gotta hate this series. Didn't expect any less from you, though.
Likes many underrated webcomicsShe's got this weird tsundere complex going on with all webcomics she reads. I had to pester her for like three months before she would even go near Order of the Stick. And even then she claimed that it had terrible artwork.
My only goal in life is to ensure that Mousa dies of a stress-induced heart attack by the age of 23. READ THISThat is total bullshit and you know it Cakkie, but I don't care, because this comic is stupid! Wheehee!
Read my stories!Mmmhmm. Just like you said when I introduced you to Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. And Darths and Droids. And Starfighter. And XKCD. You remember that one? "Oh, this person's just too lazy to bother drawing a real webcomic..."

My only goal in life is to ensure that Mousa dies of a stress-induced heart attack by the age of 23. READ THISSo, what universe is this, exactly? The Dragon Quest Universe?
Read my stories! It gets better on the world-building side. Otherwise, your mileage will vary exponentially.
Likes many underrated webcomicsSo far, I am unimpressed. The world building is pretty hugely built 'as the plot goes.' it seems rather annoying, to be honest.
Read my stories! How far have you gotten?
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987So Jacob showed up and stuff. Yeah.
There is the whole threesome thing going on too.

Read my stories!Well, judging by your standards, it's only gonna get worse.
On the plus side, the artwork gets somewhat smoother.

And I strongly dislike trannies (hate's the wrong word). What I mean is that now I understand the people who think it's the little details that ruin this comic.
