Is this the one with the gay guy who goes all stalky stalky?
Read my stories!^Yes.
When All Else Fails, you have fun and flirt wit da ladies, dats da Drawings way!Who's that?
Likes many underrated webcomics...Have you or have you not read this series?
Read my stories!It appears not
When All Else Fails, you have fun and flirt wit da ladies, dats da Drawings way!You know, if I didn't have the sneaking suspicion I'd get a desire to rant about it, I'd prolly try and archive binge it, but eh, not worth i.
Read my stories! The main (only?) gay character is Szark, but I don't remember him ever being "stalky"
Likes many underrated webcomicsStalky stalky to the main character...ain't he? Something about vomit...
Read my stories! This is one of those series that I thought looked mildly interesting but I always heard that it sucked so I never looked in to it.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderYou know, far be it from me to call this comic perfect, but I've never understood all the vitriol that gets poured onto it. I've always enjoyed it.
Plus, I've met the creator a few times, and he's a nice guy.
@bun: I really recommend it. It's not the best, but I really, really don't get the hate. It's like it was El Goonish Shive and everyone was AHR.
What I do like is how the main character often saves the day by actual wits, not fighting skill or magical power. That should really be used more.
IIRC it used to have a discussion thread, but it was Archived To Elsewhere like all threads on page 2 or older.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Well, comparing it to EGS won't make me interested in reading it any time soon. Although, that IS me, and you prolly don't want me there anyway so...
Read my stories! It's not compared to EGS, it's its hate criticism that's compared to your hate criticism of EGS.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Ah. Misread. Sorry.
Read my stories! The Last arc I'd qualify as good was Two Thief. Ever since then It's just gone downhill. What keeps me reading is the way it goes down hill, in that he manages to find new ways to fail even if you thought it wasn't possible.
Take Siggy for instance; Starts out as a tempermental, but still honorable, knight of Callan. In one arc he's revealed to have cartoonish levels of super racism which is enough for him to be sent to hell. Then it turns out he tortured orcs for funsies and tried to bring Jayden to hell with him. And in the most recent arc, he commits cannibalistic patricide on a man he claimed was greatest men of valor, and if found would do everything he could to free him.
It's like the author is obssessed with making the audience hate the only non-nerd character.
The recent arc with all the orcs was barely bearable for me because I had the hell of a time telling the various characters apart as well as figuring out which sides they were on.
I like the series, but it's not a favorite. I can see why people wouldn't want to read it, but I can't see any reason for all the vitriol the series gets. *
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyIs this the web comic where someone gets raped and the author goes out of their way to justify it?
Live by the sword, live a good long time^That may be an oversimplification, but yes. It involves coercion of both rapist and victim by a third party.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."There also the fact that The victim briefly falls in love with her rapist, only to have it explained away as a giant Electra Complex, because her rapist reminds her of her father.
Also also, there's the annoying habit of the comic to portray the rapist as completely innocent because there was NOTHING he could've done differently in that situation, and anyone who says otherwise is a bad person.
So, I can finally understand how some of the haters feel while reading this comic. Dominic's doctor's a trannie.

What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.
Dominic Deegan didn't have a discussion thread, so here it is. I realize it's a divisive comic, but I enjoy it and, judging from the size of its page, others do too. So here goes.
