Right. Change the subject...
@Arha Also hey there! Anyways, since Romance is common in Visual Novel. How about an obscure fantasy action visual novel?
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Utawarerumono is a personal favorite of mine. It's not terribly obscure though. I mean, most of the obscure stuff is obscure because people didn't like it. There's also Comyu, I guess.

Hmmmm seems pretty interesting recommendation you got there Arha!
Anyways, you got any recs. for sci-fi VN stuff that are not Steins;Gate?
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Ever 17 is good. Muvluv is at least decent, though with a low start thanks to the terrible moege you have to read first. Other than that it's mostly a bunch of fairly trashy series like Yumina or stuff that I never read like Hanachirasu.
Hmmmm... I'll see what I can do. Do they have the trope page yet? @Arha
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Ever17, Utawarerumono, Muv-Luv.

Thanks man... Gotta check them out someday alongside Yumina the Ethereal and Robotics Notes.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Robotics Notes isn't in English.
That hurts... I thought a Youtuber named World of Longplays did the English version of the VN but I think I'm wrong.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."I guess i might as well drop this here, as i am not sure if i should just make a whole forum for my shilling.

here is a free visual novel I worked on for a better part of a year, finished up in august 2018, and feel like sharing.
it is, a stat and time management visual novel about mental health and recovery, made as my team's senior project.note
the game takes about 2-3 hours to complete, and again it is completely free. if anyone is interested.
I'm afraid I can't explain myself, sir. Because I am not myself, you see?Zero Escape!!!
I'm looking for any visual novels with main Character Customisation (ie, able to choose the appearance/gender, clothing and name) and have a lot of routes. Must also be in English (because I can't read Japanese) and have a lot of choices per route.

In an anime, I'll be the Tsundere Dark Magical Girl who likes purple MY own profile is actually HERE!About a while ago, I found this really nice Visual Novel called Cute Demon Crashers which doesn't have a trope page on here, because...well, it's an erotic VN that involves the main character having sex with incubi or a succubus. Basically, the main character, a human, wants to have sex with someone, and in response to her wishes, a group of sex demons appear before her and decide to help her out. She gets to know them before deciding which one she wants to have sex with. Don't let the premise fool you, it's actually a very sweet, wholesome, and sex positive visual novel that places a heavy emphasis on explicit, unambiguous consent, and you can stop the sexual activity at any time, and even if you go all the way, the sexual experiences the characters have are always treated as warm, caring, nurturing, and pleasant. The characters, while rather vanilla (The game is very short), are all adorable and sweet, and the sex scenes avoid a lot of typical erotic VN cliches, such as having fluids flying everywhere. There's also an ending where you can choose not to have sex with any of them, and if you decide to decline or stop any sexual activity, you never get shamed or punished for it. Seriously, go play it if you want a genuinely nice erotic VN to play. It's just really, really good.
I'm not sure if this is really the sort of thing this forum is interested in, but there is a visual novel called Pizza Game that was recently released. It is self described as a "shitpost game", and purports to be a parody and deconstruction of dating/otome games, and visual novels in general. Having said that, its less of a dating game and more of a comedy (with mystery elements).
If any of that sounds appealing, then here's the steam page for it: https://store.steampowered.com/app/710710/Pizza_Game/
My personal opinion: its decent. Its a good distraction, and can be pretty amusing at times. Just don't expect it to be a classic or anything. Also, I should probably mention that the game contains a major spoiler for the game "Zero Time Dilemma".
@Neveretall There's also KFC Simulator so that's something to consider
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."I wonder if there are more visual novels with pacing of Root Double's Root A route. Like its first time I've seen visual novel without puzzle elements have straight up fast start with good pacing
A Summer's End - Hong Kong 1986. A Yuri Visual Novel set 1980s Hong Kong.
Sound of Drop's style horror stories with silly gimmicky theme would be nice too be recommended to me
Okay, I need a really specific VN, for an isekai story idea I just got.
Basically, it's about a player reincarnating as a side character in a really depressing and miserable VN, and helping out the "MC" and manipulating events to so she can get the almost impossible happy ending.
Like, in that game bad ending has the MC getting murdered, normal ending has her commiting suicide, and "good" ending is a mass murder frenzy that kills her entire friends and family.
So, as a frame of reference (totally not rip off material), I want V Ns that are just creatively diabolic. I'm talking about ones that you can tell that the writers put so much effort AND malice that it's almost impressive.
And I know how messed up some VN can be so there should be plenty of examples.
Oh, and preferrably ones with magical school settings.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Kara no Shoujo. The bad endings are frequent, unintuitive and disturbing. No magic though. Magic school settings aren't really that common and when they happen they're typically light affairs.

Hoo boy that's spicy. I like it!
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I wanna get into visual novels. What are some good starter ones? (No H-content please.) Bonus points if it's happy all the way through (though I'm okay with getting into Danganronpa and Stein's Gate).

What are some good visual novels available on the Switch right now?
Well I just completed the Famicom Detective Club games.
Yeah you can tell from gameplay that they were originally NES games, but I found them really enjoyable :'D (and am now sad there aren't more of them since I completed both of them)
How little is minimum? They're all gonna have at least some.
