I feel like, between Boardwalk Empire, The Tudors, Spartacus, and The Borgias I'm starting to get burned out big dramas that follow several morally questionable people over many interweaving storylines. However, I am a big fan of the source material and have faith in a lot of those actors, so I am very excited for this.

Was that Samwise Gamgee with a bunch of swords pointed at his throat?

Peter Dinklage I suspect, as he's cast as Tyrion.

A making of the series has been uploaded on You Tube, and it is awesome.

Oh I can't wait, I reckon this is going to be good, the cast looks fantastic particularly Peter Dinklage as Tyrion, I haven't read the books though,

from the making of,I get an incest vibe from the queen and her brother, I'm sure it's intentional

I'm also kind of looking forward to Camelot

Yeah, if you read the book, it's no more than a few chapters in.

I'll decline to say how it's revealed because that is a spoiler.

I should check and see how much it'll cost me.

But I think it'll be out on DVD relatively quickly, the Pacific was out in November last year.

I'm going to be getting the episodes of iTunes rather than buying an HBO subscription.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.

The bad news is: the first bad reviews are out.

The good news is: they're the kind that can be pretty much ignored, Sci-Fi Ghetto whining; "I don't know what's going on and I don't care, fuck this kings and knights shit".

The ugly is: the bloody Scifi Ghetto is what can kill the series. Critics who aren't going to dismiss it because of the setting love it so far. The fans seem to be loving it as well. While the people who want to see it and those who get paid to see it are happy, it's a matter if other random people are going to watch it.

[up][up]I don't think HBO releases episodes on iTunes until after the whole season has aired.

Then I'll just have to wait, won't I? I'm not paying for cable and HBO just to watch one show.

[up][up][up]Probably the genre ghetto will affect it, but I don't think it will be as bad as it has been other times, besides there are other shows in fantasy/sci-fi settings that have lasted quite a while, like Battlestar Galactica, Merlin and True Blood are still going on, and HBO is known for its unusual series, so Game of Thrones has a good chance here.

I read a review that claimed the long seasons in Westeros were a heavy-handed global warming message. What.

Giggles.

that's hilarious.

The seasonal issue has been so sketchily covered that if Martin were trying to present a message, everybody would have forgotten about it amidst all the sex and violence.

(Squeals in girlish excitement)

Though I wonder if those who'll be watching it with me will feel so enthusiastic.

At least two of them are squeamish about sex-on-screen, and one of them cannot stand violence against animals, and one has Christian values. Oh dear.

...

Squee!

If it's the same review I'm thinking of, the guy either made a really bad joke that fell horribly flat, or is incapable of explaining clear concepts through writing...or is also unfamiliar with the concept of climate.
