And it is fun.

Before the only things catching my interest in AEW were the women's division, any match w/ by Penta and the BCC but now The Elite taking over is also starting to catch my interest.

Gable Stevenson has also been released.

On one hand, Drew Gulak getting released wasn't really surprising given he's not really doing much in the roster. On the other hand, wouldn't be surprised if Ronda Rousey's accusing him of pulling on her sweatpants' drawstring had something to do w/ his being released.

Meanwhile WWE Backlash spoilers:

Bloodline defeats RKO after it devolved into an official street fight. Tanga Loa makes his debut and the French fans were singing to Randy Orton's "Voices" entrance song while Solo gets "We want Roman!" chants rained on him.

Bayley retains her WWE Women's Championship vs Naomi & Tiffany Stratton.

El Campion Damian Priest retains his World Heavyweight Championship vs Jey Uso via Judgment Day interference. Damian does stop Finn & co from beating up on Jey even further post match.

Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill beat Kabuki Warriors to become WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. They really need a Raw Women's Tag Championship.

Cody Rhodes retains his Undisputed WWE Championship vs AJ Styles.

Also Wrestlemania 41 will be held in Las Vegas.

More details from Fightful Select regarding Drew Gulak from Sean Ross Sapp and Corey Brennan (the actual news is for some reason locked behind Fightful Select's patreon page). Specifically, Drew Gulak's contract won't be renewed and it'll be allowed to expire next month and while there was no update regarding Rousey's accusations, WWE allegedly discovered that Gulak's been a backstage bully in NXT and intimidated new hires into not reporting him.

And now the way he was written off TV (via a Kayfabe Mafia hit by Tony D and The Family) suddenly makes sense.

Evidently, backstage politicking is now an Old Shame that the likes of Triple H really don't want to encourage more of, going forward. Can't say I blame him, of course, backstage politicking obviously gets toxic, FAST.

Not sure if this is the right thread for the show Dark Side of the Ring but Season 5's finale is now up and it's about Black Saturday, framed as the Rise of Vince McMahon. If this is indeed the final season then this finale book ended it w/ the Fall of Vince McMahon as its last statement is about Vince being forced out of WWE bec of the Janel Grant lawsuit.

So today's show is in my current abode of Edmonton.

However there's some concern that some people may leave due to wanting to watch the Oliers vs Vancouver game (since we're in the Playoffs).

I'm worried we might not even seen any more shows in Edmonton if something like this happens.
