Inspired by the Happy Video Gamer, I want to do a series on books that make me pleased to read them, but currently I'm reviewing the light novel version of Welcome To The NHK - which makes it really hard to not point out Satou Tatsuhiro has issues.

Here is the first episode:

Please give me advice as to what to do. In the Dream Theater video I did the sound is greatly improved because i figured out how to speak up. Help?

Slow, quiet, you sound stuffy, and I was fairly bored. There's no energy, no life, and no character, characters are entertaining. Deadpan snarker, over the top, it doesn't matter, but you need to be entertaining. Please. Reviewing a book on video is a unique venture but doing so.in a dull manner shan't help at all, and making it visually appealing and entertaining is the better way of grasping an audience, I mean I almost thought Comic Book reviews were going to be boring so I ignored Linkara for a long time. Then my friend actually showed me what he could do and now I always watch his reviews.

Also, seems kinda clear you're reading form a script.

Advice: Memorize your script and create a character or get someone else to be the face while you do the writing

Yeah, the difficult part of writing reviews solely about things you like is keeping it entertaining. It's a challenge to make jokes in a review and still have the thing you're reviewing come off as good, unless you're doing it in the style of a roast.

I'm actually planning on doing a review show like this. The idea is to review manga, but instead of doing only series I think are good, I review series that are considered good by a larger number of people. That way, I can see if they live up to their reputation and who should consider reading it. It's a similar concept to reviewing only good things, but with a lot more breathing room to make fun of them.

So if you want to do positive reviews, there still needs to be a bit more to it, I think.

Wait, when did I get a manga blog?
