The DPRK constitution IIRC was already changed in December 2023, so it's kinda coming already.
Kim Yo Jong has recently (a few months ago) referred to South Korea as the Republic of Korea, implying that the ROK is a separate country, and the two Koreas should go their separate ways.
"Enshittification truly is how platforms die"-Cory DoctorowThat would be news. I thought they were dead set on reuniting the country.
Optimism is a duty.Based on what I'm seeing with KWP rhetoric, I don't think so.
KJU is also wanting to get rid of inter-Korean connections despite some people in Seoul wanting KJU not to destroy them.

The Arch of Unification's been taken out already.
What struck me is just how empty the streets in Pyongyang are in terms of automobile traffic. Sure, you'll see vehicles passing through, but it's typically a single vehicle on the road, and a lot of pedestrians walking straight into the road, from any direction. Barely any signage on the structures, either.
Has this been confirmed elsewhere? Last I saw, BBC was saying it's unclear if it was removed or not.
You could say that’s one good thing about Pyongyang at least. It’s relaxing for the eyes and ears.
Though it also underlines just how grey everything is all around. But that’s true of a lot of big cities, alas.
NK News showed geosat analysis on the URL I posted from Jan 8 to 23.

As expected, KJU is still going to get rid of things that are used to pursue inter-Korean relations.
NK News analysis on the Arch taken out is a sign that KJU doesn't want to have his actions based on what his grandfather/father did.
The pro-Korean unification group "Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification" announced that there are no longer going to advocate for eventual unification due to changes in DPRK policy on unification matters.

Reports of the DPRK hacking into the Russian MOFA, according to German cybersecurity firm Deutsche Cyber-Sicherheitsorganisation. They were using the malware KONNI.
Two interesting things:
Russian rep at the UN against allowing the UN panel to monitor sanctions continue. The Russian MOFA blamed the panel for not being neutral and being used as "tools" for anti-DPRK countries/group.
All pro-DPRK groups are going to Pyongyang.
I really wish these groups go POOF.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield, US ambassador to the UN, mentioned that North Korean sanctions could be done through the General Assembly or through another organization since Russia had pressed its veto.
DW has a documentary video on the Kims in the DPRK, especially with Kim Ju-ae being shown around as his potential successor.
A few days ago, CNN posted an article about how shows like Invincible (2021) had unknowingly had bits of their animation done in North Korea. Here’s the article: https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/22/politics/us-animation-studio-sketches-korean-server/index.html
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Wondering if they'll get penalties.
Tokyo has issued warnings for companies in Japan to be wary of most freelancer applications since they could be DPRK expats trying to get a job and send the money to Pyongyang.
If those companies are not sending money directly to North Korea, what do they have to worry about?

Um, they still have to do due diligence at managing their supply chains. It's their responsibility to make sure they aren't violating sanctions, knowingly or not.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI understand Skybound (Invincible’s production company) is doing an internal review.
Another show affected was an upcoming Cartoon Network show Iyanu.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.John Everard, a former member of the U.N. Panel of Experts and the British ambassador to North Korea, suggested that investigating DPRK sanctions violation can be left to OSINT group with another body either given powers by the UN to investigate or have two groups, both private and one that's UN-backed.

North Korean KN-23 missiles have imported components that are counterfeit. Likely they're rsponsible for failed launches or missiles missing their mark.
[1] And KJU talks of war again. Calls for constitution to be amended so that south is a "primary foe" and that define NK territory as separate. Says that reunification is impossible and accused south of wanting regime collapse and reunification by absorption.
