[up][up]Cheating assholes are banned from the dimension and none of their dead are revived.

If they are caught, that is it.

But at least three people knew. So why isn't he disqualified?

Because the judges haven't realised? I mean really, Cell Jr has given them all of 5 seconds to react anyway.

[up][up]Three? I don't think Gohan had fully realized. He just noticed something was odd, but not quite what. (also, jsut to be nitpick, that would make 4 people, since there is no discernible difference between the Gohans, both should have realized the same thing, even if just one is shown)

Anyway, as Bale said, none of these people are judge, so it doesn't matter. The Kaoishin would probably warn the birds, but I don't think Cell Jr. will survive long enough anyway.

Hello new reaction image.

Anyway, Universe 17 is probably going to be disqualified because Cell Jr. attacked Gast before stepping onto the ring, because he isn't the registered Cell Jr., or both. Just means one less character to worry about.

It's hard to tell, but I guess he jumped the gun a bit. It's clear he did something wrong, but I'm not quite following what it was.

I mean, he knocked the fuck out of the super Namek in one punch. That's good right?

I'm pretty sure that won't knock out the SN.

[up][up]The match doesn't start until both fighters have touched the ring. Cell jr. flew al the way to the Super Namek without landing, so according to the rules, he assaulted him before the match properly started. That's instant disqualification.

In fact, didn't such disqualification extend to everyone else from the universe in question?

No way. That would suck; I wanted to see how much stronger Cell had gotten.

Well, IF he's disqualified along with Junior, he may not be send retour to his universe right away. Maybe they will allow him to spectate.

If anything, this would allow him even more freedom to dick around with his schemes.

[up][up][up]Looking at the rules again, I am not so sure. It is kinda unclear, but the penalty for being called a 'cheater' is merely a loss. However, fighting outside a match is forbidden and "any problem will will result in the expulsion of the whole group of the universe".

You can say Cell Jr fought outside a match, so his group ought to be expelled. However, his match was to start, so you could also say he is merely 'cheating' (meaning Jr. will merely lose). Personally I would interpret irregularities during the match by its participants counts only as a "cheat", not as a "problem", so Jr will lose the match, but Cell will be allowed to continue. However, if after that, Jr. keep causing problems (i.e., insisting in continue to fight), then his father is expelled as well.

I wonder how much of the confusion is due to the author wacky English. Does anyone here speak French?

Btw, due to the wording, you can also say the collective punishment goes to the 'group', not the 'universe'. If such distinction exist, Bojack and the girls are probably counted as separated, despite being of the same universe. Universe 3 probably has each participant as its own 'group'.

Oh Buu. You little douche.

Anyway, since this comic really gets slow the days that there are no comic, a quick discussion question: If you were offered to direct a DBM anime adaption, what would you change?

For me:

  • The space battle with Buu is done entirely with instrumental music and no conversation ('cause it's in space), with Goku replacing Vegito because seriously, I hate that guy.
  • Femgeta is only given her strength back.
  • There would be a subplot of the various dead characters doing stuff in the afterlife. Maybe an omake or something.

Anyone else?

Hmm, in reaction to this comic, I'll just say that, as entertaining as it would be for Gast to completely pwn junior, I'd also like to see the Vargas to enforce the rules for once. They've done nothing but being incompetent so far. One might wonder how they managed to have held this tournament for so long without destroying the multiverse by screwing up so hard.

[up]"For so long"? It haven't passed a single day yet!

Anyway, I agree. It would be nice to see the consequences of the rules once in a while. I am curious to see what will be The Namek's response, however. It could say a something about his personality.

[up]I don't think this is the first time they held the tournament. 'For so long' refers to the tournaments that came before this one. If those were anything like this one, it's a miracle the multiverse still exists.

[up]This is the first time they held such tournament. The Kaioshin (aka, 'Gods') realized such doing such thing constantly would be dangerous and kept dimension traveling restrict to an unique event.

Oh, hey, totally forgot about that detail.

well, at the very least that means this whole thing is a very, very bad idea, and they better start cracking down on any rule breakers before stuff gets out of hand.

Or at the very least, so that they pretend to keep stuff from getting out of hand, to make sure that once stuff does get out of hand (again), it will have a little bit more impact on the audience.

I'm pretty sure I did, since I've read the whole thing. But I forgot about it, since it probably wasn't that relevant anyway, but I'm sure I was at the least amused because I could read the thing in one go.

Which is why I should probably be taking my leave and come back in a year or so, so that there will be a fresh batch of DBM goodiness waiting for me when I return.
