That commentary below the comic is so true.
I also like the title.
Ok, uhh, is it me or does the entire thing being caused by rolling a one, along with the whole "Dn D character is dying not the real person" thing, take all the drama out of this scene and leave you wondering why the hell this would leave anyone at the table slackjawed? I mean, really, it's not even an impressive death, nor a Total Party KO. Just a bad roll.
Anyways, I wonder why Sally doesn't get to appear in this scene if Pete and Annie do.
I thought it was just Jim that went slack-jawed or something, and everyone else is wondering what the heck is going on (before they found out he just rolled a one).
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...http://www.darthsanddroids.net/episodes/0181.html
Silly Ben, did you already forget that talking is a free action?
Wow. Annie played him like a fiddle. And we now know R2's canonical alignment.
Looks like it's less "drama experiment" for her now and more "let out my Dark Side!".
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?—> Tangent 128: 106 ...they're corrupting her!
"I'm in love." Best... RPG Scene... Ever.
—> Meta Four: 192 Wow.
Yeah. Blatant disregard of Rule number one and "it's just... everyone else seems to get nervous about mass murder for some reason." <g> Second best RPG scene.
...And even I make no pretense Of having more than common sense - R.W.WoodBen as Amidala=Win. Pure win. Go team Rambo! Also, note the distinct lack of any dice being rolled, as the GM first didn't want to deal with his silliness and then gave up and let him win.
Oh, man. Given that I've been a fan of The Emperor's New Groove since it came out, this was just made of win. Although I hope they'd get to the new movie soon...
That will eventually be no moon...
Exactly my thought.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages? So the comic's continuing, and... is it me, or does Obi-Wan now look weird and creepy? And awkward? I dunno, I keep waiting for him to die so I don't have to look at him and then reminding myself that no, he doesn't die anytime soon.
Anyways, the comic doesn't feel as fun since the second movie started. It was brave of DMM to do a timeskip for the players too, as that's usually a great way to jump sharks, but... it isn't working so far I think.
Well, there isn't all that much for them to work with so far.
Things'll hopefully pick up once we get to the part with the assassin droid and the deathsticks.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?I'm going to wait until the infodumping and set-up are through. It'll probably pick up after that.
Wrong Thread.

Mathematics Is A Language.Jim as Padme is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters.
Having recently rewatched Episode II, I see that Jim is using the line of arguments that Anakin used in this scene of the movie.

It would be really awesome if anyone ever made a Darths And Droids dub of the films. It could be done, though some parts like Qui-Gon explaining his plan to Padmé in the middle of attacking Maul would be tricky (they'd just have to slow it down a lot there). And it would be cool to hear the players' voices coming out of their characters' mouths, especially the crossplayers.
It would win some kind of award for "Most Use Of That Record Stopping Sound To Indicated A Stop In The Action".

Hey guys, just wanted to say that if you haven't checked the article and the interview they linked to, you totally should. They were done by a friend of mine and fellow troper (we had a dork trivia contest and she contributed a TV Tropes category, it was awesome).
Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuSweet! Thanks for the links. Those were interesting reads and it was cool to put faces to the names.

Heh, so that explains why Ben was acting like Jim. In your face, DM!
162.
Oh my. That one was incredibly hilarious. Slightly moreso if you think of the queen as her own character than as the DM.
