** The Natural Dancer Monad Passage miniboss will spam a buffed Spirit Drain on your party, and comes in a group of 3. If fought at the ''start'' of a Tartarus session, you'll be forced to either spend Twilight Fragments, use valuable SP items, or have whichever party you brought essentially out of action for the rest of the night. Fuuka's post-battle dialogue even [[LampshadeHanging Lampshades]] this.

** While Yukari's AdaptationalNiceGuy treatment has received a mixed reception, particularly from old-time players who played the original release, her softer portrayal version is actually more in line with how she was portrayed in the Japanese version. Her confrontational and sassy personality that many players were familiar with being [[DubPersonalityChange a product of the original localization]] as well as Creator/MichelleRuff's voice direction.

** Tartarus rescue missions were brought in from ''Portable''. And while Elizabeth will warn the player when people wander in, this tends to happen very close to a Full Moon, and occasionally happens multiple times within a lunar cycle. In practice, this encourages putting off going to Tartarus until as late as possible, as that allows you to knock out all recues at once for maximum efficiency. Conversely, players who go to Tartarus early are essentially punished: forced to go back later in the month if they want to avoid the PlayerPunch of [=NPCs=] dying.

* CharacterRerailment: After years of getting [[{{Flanderization}} reduced]] to an [[DumbMuscle unintelligent]] protein-obsessed BloodKnight shell of his former self across ''Persona 3'''s spinoffs and supplementary material, Akihiko is finally brought back to being the level-headed and wise BigBrotherMentor he was original games. In the new content, many mentions of protein are mixed in with a general watchfulness towards his diet and health, and overall the number of times he himself brings it up can once again be counted on one hand.

Examples should be standalone. Removing Walkthrough Mode.

** The same also applies to Chidori as well. While she's no longer a ZeroEffortBoss due to having more HP, adding Neuron Slash as part of her skillset and her Spring of Life skill being reworked into her own version of Diarahan, the boss fight immediately ends after five turns have passed.

* CheeseStrategy:
** The "Reaper Reaped" achievement can be unlocked on any difficulty level. In practice, this means it can be earned without too much effort on Peaceful, but it will take a very long time if you're underleveled.
** The Reaper fight proper can be farmed to hell and back. If you fight it on the lowest difficulty setting, your HP and SP will be restored whenever you re-enter the battle, and all the damage is maintained. Run out of SP? Throw the battle and retry, and continue on until the Reaper is defeated. Suddenly the formidable boss has become piñata of EXP to bust open, and you can revert back to Normal once you've thoroughly grinded your levels out.
** The Hermit boss can be defeated easily by casting Elec Break on it, setting up [[AttackReflector Makarakarn]] on the party, and simply waiting for it to [[HoistByHisOwnPetard annihilate itself with its own charged electric attacks.]]

** A small one but fans noticed that this version of the game removed most of the smaller one-shot animations from the original, and has the characters GoingThroughTheMotions where they used to be, making it feel like the game is cutting corners compared to the almost two decade older original.
