Do people really check out The Contributors?

I'm a fan of film, and have always been a fan of tropes and their appearances, long before this site (or even the internet) existed. You won't see much of my handiwork around the wiki, but I'm usually about whenever I can, reading random pages and generally staying out of trouble, adding examples here and there. At one time, you could often find me lurking around that "under construction" place righting wrongs and fighting against the poisoning of this pool by subjectivity. Times have changed, and now concepts that are often disguised as "tropes" get a little colored dot telling you the article is subjective... I consider it a victory, if a small one.

I believe in not arguing in the articles... but this page is all mine, so...

Some Disagreements

  • Loonatics Unleashed - I love this cartoon. I fail to see the big deal that the characters look like the Looney Toons. I don't remember anyone complaining about the last time that was done.
  • Chicken Little - This edit, "It's hard not to notice that the film is aping the Shrek formula to a T.", doesn't compute. I have watched this movie after reading this sentiment (comparisons to Shrek are noted in the article four times) and I STILL don't get it. If there is ANY similarity to Shrek, beyond being a computer-animated movie, I can not find it.
  • The Adventures Of Pluto Nash - Love the movie. I'm not sure what the audience was expecting, but the design of the movie was beautiful, the acting was perfect (especially Bruno), and most of all it was good fun.
