Oh boy, here we go.
Palladium here, making a page because it has to happen at some point, so why not now? Why you're here, one can only guess at.
So here I am. Nerdy (aren't we all), an engineering major, and a fan of fantasy, sci-fi, and more or less any bit of music set down in front of me (with rare exceptions). I'm rather interested in art, music, literature, and philosophy, while being terrible at all of them. (Though I am actively trying to practice in music, and if I ever sit down and get to it I'll try my hand at writing again.)
I'm easily entertained, overly complacent, and find it very hard to actively dislike something; it's been said that I'm too nice for my own good. I also frequently alternate between being very serious and being absurd and irreverent. At the same time, though, I'm really awkward around people I don't know. And some people I do know. So, awkward around most people, really. Less so on the internet, as you can see.
I'm the worst at actively picking a side in a dispute - I'm too willing to admit the other side is right about some things. There isn't really much I'm actually dedicated to, beyond just trying to be a good person. Regarding idealism or cynicism, I'm almost never in a single spot on the scale, though I tend towards idealism.
...I was trying to write something short and concise to start with, and I... didn't do that. Well, I'll leave it here.

- Adorkable: There have been claims that I have "nerdy charm". I've yet to see it myself, personally.
- Apologizes a Lot: Yeah... sorry about that.
- Beware the Nice Ones: I don't get angry often, but when I do… I get very angry. Then I fall straight into apologizing afterwards in most cases, so...
- Bi The Way: Though it's apparently easier to mistake me for asexual than straight, so I've been told. It doesn't help that I generally don't have an explicit interest in other people in that way.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: Sometimes. It really depends on the subject. Sometimes I'm just brilliant, and sometimes I'm just lazy.
- Catchphrase: They tend to vary over time, but a few constants are:
- Well, that happened.

- (In response to asking where something is) I ate it.
- Aww yeeeaaah!
- (as a catch-all answer) Sorcery.
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Sometimes, my thought processes are off. And sometimes I just play it up for a joke. On occasion it actually gets in the way when I'm trying to explain why or how I did something.
- Deadpan Snarker: Standard fare for tropers, though probably not as much as most.
- Ditzy Genius: I have a knack for math and physics, and might be generally smart, but common sense sometimes eludes me, and I don't always approach problems in the most reasonable way.
- Drives Like Crazy: Which I'm aware of, and thus I don't make attempts to actually drive (because between that and how other people drive around here, I'm kinda afraid to)... my license has expired by now and I haven't gotten it renewed yet.
- Large Ham: When the mood strikes me, but it's not a default state.
- Motor Mouth: Played with; I can slip into this when prompted by a topic I'm fond of, but I tend more towards being The Quiet One.
- Nice Guy: Generally.
- Nightmare Fetishist: My fascination with unspeakable horrors and sociopathic mythological creatures may speak a bit to this. Zig-zags a bit, as I do not like gratuitous Gorn (thus my distaste for a good number of horror movies which rely on that and/or Jump Scares) and a few other things that most other Nightmare Fetishists are fond of.
- Proud to Be a Geek: I wouldn't have it any other way.
- The Quiet One: I have a tendency to let other people talk more in a conversation and simply listen and offer short responses. But if I do start talking...
- Self-Deprecation: It comes up pretty often. Alternates between Played for Laughs and not.
- Shrinking Violet: My default state with people I'm unfamiliar with. Which leads into a bad habit of lurking on fora in lieu of actually posting. (Not in real life, that would be a whole 'nother can of worms.)
- Sophisticated as Hell: Sometimes.
- Straight Man: I end up playing this at times. Other times...
- Super OCD: Played with; sometimes I'll just be lazy about something, and sometimes I'll obsess over getting it "right"... up until I get frustrated and drop it.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Chicken parmigiana. YES. Actually, most Italian foods, really, but especially chicken parmigiana. I'm not sure why.
- Yaoi Fan and Yuri Fan: Moreso the latter, but, y'know. I'm not particularly fixated, but I can appreciate it when it happens.
