- Actually Pretty Funny: It's almost like a small heartwarming moment, when someone agrees that a joke really was humorous.
- All Balloons Have Helium: A classic set up for potential, cartoony antics.
- Animated Outtakes: If animated movies had this during the credits, you know the crew had fun making the film.
- Attack! Attack... Retreat! Retreat!: Never gets old.
- Balloon-Bursting Bird: Pairs perfectly with the above mentioned All Balloons Have Helium.
- Calvinball: There can be a lot of creativity in made up games with no ground rules.
- Disproportionate Retribution: If done well it can be a very effective form of chaotic comedy.

- Flat "What": Sometimes that's all it takes to express how dumbfounded you are.
- Hands Go Down: And no, this trope can't be used as an instrument.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Inverted example out of universe. Because from a personal viewpoint, it can also cross with Flame Bait if done carelessly.
- Karma Houdini: Inverted. Characters who are wholly unpleasant or generally unlikable never getting any comeuppance for their actions I find are completely horrendous.
- Makes As Much Sense In Context: I often talk to my bird figurines when I need advice on how to draw an anthropomorphic garden hose.
- Mondegreen Gag: I love the idea of mishearing words or phrases in a comedic way.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: There's nothing more satisfying than a Jerkass getting a vicious verbal thrashing for all of the crap they've put others through.
- Spit Take: Let's be honest, we've all done this (or acted it out in text) at least once, and it is hysterical.
- Who's on First?: A classic, enough said.
