Films — Animated
- In making Turning Red, director Domee Shi has stated that Ranma ½ is one of the anime that she was inspired by, especially the aspect of obscuring the transformation with water (or, in the case of the film, pink smoke).
Western Animation
- Beast Wars: Megatron's "oyakusoku pozu" (promise pose) is a reference to the pose that Ranma characters do when they're confused. It's also an Actor Allusion to how David Kaye voiced both Megatron and Sōun Tendō in Ranma.

- In the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic episode "Scare Master", a ponified Ranma appears as one of the "unplanned guests" cut-outs who appear as one of the "scares" at Fluttershy's "scary tea party", alongside Sailor Moon, Bulma, Utena, and Rei.
- Neo Yokio: In episode 4, Lexy and Gottlieb jump into a magic pool and wind up turning into a woman and a panda.
- One of the Pinky and the Brain comic books from 1997 had a Whole-Plot Reference to Ranma called "Brinky ½". Pinky and Brain head to China and fall into the "Spring of the Drowned Martial Arts Master with a Split Personality", which merges them into one mouse — hot water switches them to Pinky, and cold water switches them to Brain. The story ends with them falling into a bowl of Hot & Sour soup and splitting back to normal due to the "contradictory nature of the soup".
- Robot Chicken: One episode has the Nerd finding the Spring of the Drowned Girl, and imagines how awesome his life will be to have the same "curse" that Ranma has.
- The Simpsons: The Mexican Spanish dub of the episode "Pygmoelian" edits a line to have an Actor Allusion to Ranma. In it, the Doctor who Moe replaced says he played the role of Ranma for several years, referencing how they had the same voice actor: Carlos Hugo Hidalgo."¡He sido el Dr. Tad Winslow y la voz de Ranma durante 25 años! ¡Creo que merezco un aumento!"Translation
