- Actually, if you pay attention to the verse, it describes everything in that land to be burning, constantly. The Fallen Angels don't mind it too much, since they are made of indestructible heavenly matter, and because they can put their minds over their bodies; as Satan so eloquently puts, mind is its own home. Oddly enough, the place seems to become considerably more palatable with its new inhabitants. At least they bring plenty of beauty to the bleak environment.
