The President and the turkey knife: The President sent Charlie all over town looking for the perfect carving knife. When Charlie asks why the President doesn't have one already, the president presents his old knife to Charlie as a gift, perplexing Charlie who wonders what company uses the initials "P.R." As it turns out, the knife was a Bartlet family heirloom.... "from a Boston silversmith called Paul Revere".
Season 2, "Noel"
As Josh enters the lobby of the White House after a long day with a psychiatrist, Leo asks how things went.
Josh: "I'm just saying if you were in an accident, I wouldn't stop for a beer."
Donna: "If you were in an accident, I wouldn't stop for red lights."
And to think it took five more years for them to finally get together!
Season 4, "Twenty Five"
Toby's whole speech to his kids, starting out with a genuinely funny line ("I didn't realize babies came with hats.") Basically Toby proves that Andi's concern that he couldn't be warm is shown to be totally incorrect. Also, the earlier scene where Leo tells him he's going to be a great father. The fact that all of this happens in an episode as fraught with suspense as "Twenty Five" makes it all the more remarkable.
