"Darn." (kicks The Dragon into engine)

For this troper, the ending of the Big Damn Movie is easily the greatest moment in the entire series. In particular Mal's fight with the Operative when Mal gets run through.

Operative: Do you know what your Sin is?
Mal: Aw hell. I'm a fan of all seven.

At this point, Mal headbutts the Operative, pulls a katana out of his stomach and quips

Mal: But right now, I'm gonna go with wrath.

Simply awesome.

The Operative's Oh Crap moment when Serenity penetrates the cloud... followed by dozens of Reaver ships.

This troper calls it the "What you fail to realize is that my ship... is dragging Reavers" moment

Shooting Dobson without breaking stride.

Maybe not the most awesome moment in the series, but for me it was the moment that Captain Tightpants was crowned.

No power in the 'verse can stop me.

Simon's saving the patient in Ariel and giving the doctor a Drill Sergeant Nasty . While River is grinning "Thats my big brother!"

Mal: Well, look at this! Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us?
Zoe: Big damn heroes, sir!
Mal: Ain't we just?

I don't think any piece of the gathered on-screen footage displays Wash's ability as cleanly as the movie when he's evading Reavers, the Alliance, gunfire, missiles, ships(!) and all he has to say is...

Wash: I am a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar.

I think it's possible that this is a method he has for not losing his head (which he really should be at this time).

The doors open. River is surrounded by dead reavers.

The whole series- very few things can get me, my wife, her (late)teen son and our 'tweenies' cheering at the same thing.

The fight between Simon and Early. I wonder how many times he's been given so much trouble by a 140 pound doctor?

Simon's Foe Tossing Charge in Safe. He was actually able to knock three of them out of his way. Papa Wolf may have been small but he could still bite.
+3 (yeas:3 nays:0)
Wash piloting the Serenity to safety with his Crazy Ivan in the first episode. What's awesome here is that he is DEAD CALM, even though he's the person who should be freaking out the most, given that Resident Badasses Jayne, Mal and Zoe all are scared out of their minds.
+3 (yeas:3 nays:0)
Mal letting loose on Niska "You wanna see the real me?"

.... and Mal's ruthlessness to Crow who has made it clear that Mal's Crew will never be safe from him

... heck, so much awesome, and this was only one episode.

{Stab} "Well I'm alright..."

Mal's two motivating speeches in the movie, showing just how complex he is. In the first, at Haven, he threatens the entire crew to get them moving in disguising the ship. He's utterly committed and ruthless in doing the right thing.

The second speech is him *asking* the crew to give their lives to broadcast the final message. He's just as committed, but knows it's gone too far for demands, he must inspire... I don't think anyone in the audience wouldn't have followed him.
