Fix the misuses of Expy and then leave it alone.

Expand Expy to include an "Import Character"

For reference:

• Expy (currently): A character very similar to another character by the same author.
• Import Character(on this crowner): A character very similar to another character by a different author.
• Captain Ersatz: A blatant ripoff of a character by a different author.

Leave Expy alone.

Create a new, third trope about Imported Characters.

This is just my opinion, but I actually like Expy. It's short and catchy.

As for Expy Vs. Captain Ersatz, here's how I would define them;

"Is it possible to rip off yourself?" If a work even causes you to ask that question, it's an Expy. If it's clearly a rip off of someone else, it's an Captain Ersatz.

My definition of Expy vs. Captain Ersatz has always been that expy is a character whose features closely resemble another character, while Captain Ersatz is a blatant rip-off or parody of a character. I say keep Expy as is, but make the definition clearer.

Merge Expy and Captain Ersatz.
