So the trailer for the film adaptation of The Fall Guy is up. David Leitch directs and Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt star:

From the YT video description:

He’s a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment. And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?

From real life stunt man and director David Leitch, the blockbuster director of Bullet Train, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and the producer of John Wick, Nobody and Violent Night, comes his most personal film yet. A new hilarious, hard-driving, all-star apex-action thriller and love letter to action movies and the hard-working and under-appreciated crew of people who make them: The Fall Guy.

Oscar® nominee Ryan Gosling (Barbie, La La Land, Drive) stars as Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who, having left the business a year earlier to focus on both his physical and mental health, is drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie—being directed by his ex, Jody Moreno, played by Golden Globe winner Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place films, Sicario)—goes missing.

While the film’s ruthless producer (Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham; Ted Lasso), maneuvers to keep the disappearance of star Tom Ryder (Golden Globe winner Aaron Taylor-Johnson; Bullet Train) a secret from the studio and the media, Colt performs the film’s most outrageous stunts while trying (with limited success) to charm his way back into Jody’s good graces. But as the mystery around the missing star deepens, Colt will find himself ensnared in a sinister, criminal plot that will push him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt.

Inspired by the hit 1980s TV series, The Fall Guy also stars Winston Duke (Black Panther franchise) and Academy Award® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

From a screenplay by Hobbs & Shaw screenwriter Drew Pearce, The Fall Guy is produced by Kelly McCormick (Bullet Train, Nobody, Atomic Blonde) and David Leitch for their company 87North, and by Ryan Gosling and by Guymon Casady (Game of Thrones, Steve Jobs and executive producer of the upcoming series Ripley) for Entertainment 360. The film is executive produced by Drew Pearce, Entertainment 360’s Geoff Shaevitz and the creator of the original Fall Guy television series, Glen A. Larson.

The movie’s page is right here if anyone wants to contribute.

I'll admit I read the thread's title at first as "Fall Guys movie with Ryan Gosling".

This movie looks fun. Also, the concept is pretty ingenious too.

The movie screened at SXSW and the responses are pretty good so far. Here’s the Variety review:

Forbidden triple bumping: I just came out of the movie and I loved it. Strong recommendation for everyone. I just wish the villains had more screentime to show how slimy they are.

[up]Concur, one of the few movies to actually make me laugh out loud. It also rewards paying close attention, as there are quite a few really good visual gags happening in the background. I do sort of wish they hadn't thrown in that our evil actor was also responsible for Cole's initial accident, I actually think it would have been significantly more interesting/better if it really was the case that he'd just fucked up and injured himself badly. As a plot, it tied together fine, but I would have preferred that.

I think there is a number of flaws with the film but the overall jubilance of everyone involved is infectious. It's a love letter to the stunt community and that's the attitude you have to adopt to really enjoy it.

Indeed it's a great time. Consistently funny, action-packed and with a well chosen cast. Add that during the Oscars, the film's two stars (also serving as a nod to Barbenheimer) were there to present a stunts montage, and the Academy is due to adding a category for stuntspeople!

Just got back. I loved it. I thought a few things weren't required (like Colt being deliberately drugged, as well as the very lengthy split screen back and forth about using split screen, the love story was a little too light, but there was a lot of well laid out action sequences, the truck saw some action (and, while it appeared to be damaged in the film, it survives and shows up at the end), the way they crack the case as convoluted as all hell and just an excuse for loads of more stunts, but you have a good time with it.

I kept thinking they were taking the piss out of Zack Snyder films with Metal Storm...especially when Jason Mamoa turned up as the lead

Metalstorm is more of a hybrid of Mad Max Fury Road and Dune, if the One-Woman Wail wasn't a big enough clue. Any Snyder reference would be applicable to any given bloated blockbuster.

I am thinking there might be an Uncertain Audience responsible for the underwhelming box office. The trailers are pretty accurate to the movie, in that you're never sure if it's about Cole trying to redeem himself / fix his relationship with Jody or if it's about a stuntman being called upon to be a Private Detective when the lead actor goes missing. Both are related but is not an especially clean merge. Being based on a not-exactly-classic 80's show and the really high budget of 130 million for an Action Romantic Comedy means it had some lofty goals.
