I gotta say, mad respect for Gooseworx for really committing to the "Jax is an asshole" aspect of the show.
I do appreciate that the episode dialed back on Kinger's insanity a bit in favor of the feeling he's the Team Dad. Yeah, he still has a bit of insanity in him, but it's a nice way of making him feel like more than just a gag character.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Obviously the joke character is society.

Gooseworx does mention Caine as the main antagonist.
Hello worldMaybe the real Caine will be the main antagonist. The backrooms/Stanley Parable part in the pilot suggest the game the characters are trapped in was made by 'C and A'... perhaps they are Caine and Abel (either the biblical characters or different characters named after them)? The Caine we see in the show could either be an AI representative of the real Caine, a separate AI named after him, or Caine himself being trapped in the game and losing his memory of who he really is.

Even on reddit a twitter post on Ragatha on episode 5 had some interesting hints.

Hello worldAlso note an antagonist doesn’t even mean villain. It could also mean a hero or anywhere inbetween.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Yeah, at the moment, the closest thing the show has to an antagonist is Caine as he is (due to his incapability of understanding human emotion) the main force working against Pomni. He baits her with the exit door and he killed Gummigo. He's not malicious, but that doesn't make him any less antagonistic.
I mean, he flat out killed a sapient being for stupid Blue and Orange reasons.
So seriously, Caine can go fuck himself for the time being.
I think I watched episode 2 at a bad time. Between the Shoot the Shaggy Dog Story nature of the ending, Jax being an asshole nonstop, Gangle spending the whole episode in her miserable sad mask mode, and me just not finding a lot of the dark gags funny, I was feeling some intense Darkness induced apathy with this one.

Kaze ni Nare!Does a human form for Pomni exist yet?
Also, the increasing edge is nothing for me. I've been through Girls' Frontline, there's not much Gooseworx can do to challenge that game franchise on the dark fronts.
"Some people are damaged. Some people are really damaged. And then... some people are broken."I'm going to be honest, seeing the sheer shock and pearl-clutching reaction to Jax just being normal levels of bad has me super excited to see how the fandom gets when anything of actual consequence happens. Because jeez, how will these weenies all shocked over Candyland react when an actual PC that we've known for episodes abstracts or gets deleted for the good of all?
Ironically, I think my thoughts on Episodes 1 and 2 are the exact opposites to the majority opinion. I left Episode 1 liking it, but feeling sad and empty because of the ending, whereas I left Episode 2 having been thoroughly entertained and wanting to see where the story and characters are going to go from here.

Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.Interesting theroy also gooseworx on tumblr said Zooble will become active from episode 3-9.
A few of Gooseworx's tweets since the new ep:
One final thing I'll say about episode 2 before I sink away into the black tar is I'm really glad lots of people get the thematic purpose of the funeral scene. I was really worried it wouldn't land, but you guys really quelled my fears.
So THANKUU, hope u like rest of show!
I wouldn't really call Jax this episode normal levels of bad.
I feel like the thing is a lot of people expected Jax to just be a jerk. Him being the type to knowingly get dozens-hundreds of people / sapient AI eaten alive? Different story.
The First manIn fairness, Gooseworx did say Jax is completely irredeemable, and this episode made sure she was good on her word.
I'm still curious to see how that fast food episode is gonna turn out with the direction the series is headed.
I’m still on the fence. Though intentional, everything feels too vague for me to resonate with.
For an independent project, the production values are still amazing. How do they do it?

Patron,dur.
New theme music also a boxI'll admit, I do find it a bit depressing that the show has to resort to such heavy merchandising to get made. Like, I understand that's just the nature of how indie development is, but I wish people could make art without having to push out more plastic crap into the world.
I guess I vaguely see your reasoning, but it feels like an odd interpretation (it would also be a very unpleasant one, if we were talking about an actual person).
