ASAP CLUB, the sponsor for Kuzuha and Kanae's stream, presented this tweet asserting that the pair's recommended mix (chosen by Nijisanji's staff) was a new discovery, only for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan to chime in and warn that caffeinated drinks mixed with alcohol pose health serious hazards. That the government has to issue a warning after unconfirmed reports of teenagers being rushed to the hospital after trying that mix speaks about the gravity of the situation. Of course, ASAP CLUB downplays the issue by claiming that their dosage is at acceptable levels, seemingly ignoring the root problem while asking to drink in moderation.

The mixed drink recommended by Nijisanji staff is a 1:1 ratio between the sponsored ASAP caffeinated drink and Chamisul soju.

What in blazes is an "acceptable level"? I need numbers for that kind of claim, Unicron take you. Like, how much caffeine is in that drink, exactly?

Like, someone who drinks a lot of energy drinks might find it "acceptable", but if that's 10 times the amount a regular person drinks...

But, seriously, I'm curious about how that all went down. Did Nijisanji's staff give a range of things they were going to try to the company for approval? Or did the company just trust Niji's staff and take a hands-off approach?

As a general rule of thumb, just don't mix alcohol and caffeine, period.

The only acceptable level of caffeine a drink you mix with alcohol should have is zero.

I mean there’s a difference between using Soda and an energy drink thats basically three of them and that’s just the caffeine energy drinks got other things that play with the alcohol

It kinda amazing that the moment the mask came off any color has just been besieged by screw up after screw up after screwup

I think part of it might also be the increased scrutiny?

I don't think the increased negative attention on Anycolor had anything to do with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries getting involved; I feel like even if the debacle with Selen hadn't happened, Anycolor would have likely still gotten called out, though of course netizen sentiment wouldn't have been quite as negative if they hadn't already squandered all their goodwill. ASAP making excuses for the 1:1 mix doesn't help, either.

Like.... yeah, this time everyone would noticed, but I feel like a lot of the other stuff would have probably not gotten as much attention, had it not been for... well, everything surrounding Selen.

Granted, there might have still been scrutiny based on how pretty much all of their former talents sound whenever they allude to their time with the company, even if the company hadn't tried to make an example out of Selen.

I’m trying to find symbolism for nijisanji’s PR downfall when it came to first exterminating Selen, but all I get is “dragons are a symbol of power and strength” and even though I can say that, Nijisanji has a few dragons vtubers left
