Well, I've always went with Grass starter, so I'm happy about NyaohaEn . Grass cat is adorable!
I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person.Hm, six-pointed crystal star in the JP logo. Is that the new gimmick like with gens 6 and 7, or something plot-related, like in gen 8?
Man, of course I decided to oversleep over the presentation >_>
I was awake but completely spaced it out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They didn't even bother doing anything else with Galar.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. They did DLC.
DLC is basically Third Version stuff now, so technically they did.
Watch SymphogearThere will never be third versions again. There will be DLC and a Complete edition and that's it.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."The first few Pokemon games had some Metroidvania-y flavor, with areas being locked behind powerups. Gen 5 was the one that had the region literally be a straight line, but it's the last 3 gens that were really super linear from start to finish, with little in the way of off-the-beaten-path bonus areas. Legends was more Xenoblade style, with several large maps that you have to finish the main quest on before unlocking the next. This might be a fully open world like BoTW, an "open world but you have to do the main quest in order" style game like most AAA stuff these days, or maybe lean more into the Metroidvania elements of the older games by having parts of the map locked until you finish a different part and gain the right navigation tool. Way too early to tell at this point.

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.This is the best collection of starter names I've seen in a while. I'm taking Quaxly based on the name alone.
It's been 3000 years…It just occurred to me that Chonky Lizard Boye could lose his legs in his final form like Snivy and be the Snake. So the Chinese Zodiac theory isn’t quite dead yet, but this could be the generation that makes or breaks it.
On a similar vein I've heard a few people say that the Grass starters are all based on extinct animals. According to the theory, Venusaur is a dicynodont, Meganium is a sauropod dinosaur, Sceptile is partially based on an ornithopod dinosaur, Torterra is partially based on an ankylosaur, Serperior is Titanoboa, Chesnaught is partly based on a giant ground sloth, Decidueye is a stilt owl, and Rillaboom is a Gigantopithecus. A bit iffy but interesting.
If Sprigatito evolves into a sabertooth cat or a cave lion, that might keep the theory going.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Waaiiit...… aren't crocodiles and snakes both reptiles?
Cibrylls have trouble picking which avatar to use at times, so it changes on a whim at times~Crocs and snakes are reaaally distant cousins. They're more closely related to birds I believe? Reptile's a bit wonky like that.
Secret SignatureRemember the fish gun that turns into an octopus with a cannon head? Any other evolution makes sense compared to that.
It's been 3000 years…And if he is the Snake that basically just leaves the Cow; when you think about it we’ve had the Horse and Dog since Gen 1!
Don't forget that male crocs are called bulls.
Secret SignatureHmm. I was expecting them to go with Orange/Purple if they went back to color name pairing rather than Red/Purple.
Then again, I guess one could make the case for Sun covering orange in all but name.
Guess that means the Huisian forms are getting the Let's Go treatment.
I'm just gonna jump in to say another possible location that this could be is a South American country.
That's possible, though the architecture is very European-looking and the map that is partially visible in the protagonist's house very closely resembles the Iberian peninsula. I'm still thinking it looks like a region based on Spain until we get extra evidence to support that it isn't.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. The color scheme (Red/Purple) has me thinking China or India for some reason. So I think those shouldn't be discounted yet.
I'm gonna LMAO if the grass starter turns out to be a regional Fennekin variant

Sagrada Familia and Madrid's Plaza Mayor were seen in-game, and a map of Spain was in the trailer.
I mean, we got like two maps of the Iberian peninsula in the trailer, didn't we?
Secret SignatureDidn't see the trailer yet. So I'll take your word for it.
Now them, does this mean we're gonna have a bullfighter-themed trainer as a Wake-Up Call Boss?

But seriously, though, never knew that. :o
… I hope we get some new Ultra Beasts (or variants), too. (Probably a pipe dream.)
That, or they just decide to go with a regional variant of Tauros and extend the line to three stages, and maybe make it branch or something.
As for Horse, I'm guessing they'll probably create a new three-stage line, and Goat, well, I don't think we have Fire-type goats yet…
So apparently, Meowth is in the new region's Pokédex as well.
Meowth will once again receive a regional variant.
Does seem like pokemon company isn't gonna let any gen to have the development time they really should have ^^;
Man, of course I decided to oversleep over the presentation >_>
- The PC definitely barge on uncanny valley in the game as they don't have the same anime design as the previous gens. Need to see more human characters to them to really settle in.
- Sprigatito: It's a cat, but grass. How will it evolve, I don't know.
- Fuecoco: Hey, it's the jalapeno Pokémon everyone been waiting for. Except not Grass.
- Quaxly: Please evolve into Donald Duck.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!
