The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I wonder why not.
You and I remember Budapest very differentlyCan't be an easy decision, but I respect their choice.
The cold never bothered me anywaySo I still haven’t seen Gen V. Will I need to watch the spinoff before the new season?
It’s certainly recommendable.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. And production has started on Gen V season 2.
The cold never bothered me anywayAnnouncing more seasons when the latest hasn't even been released is a pretty risky move. They're basically guaranteeing that the Season 4 finale will have at least one cliffhanger and the only character arcs that will come to any conclusion will most likely be the ones prepped for death.
I mean, the speculation for years has been that season 5 would be the end, and while that (to my knowledge) hasn't been officially confirmed, that does seem to still be the expectation - especially with this season seeming to cover a Presidential election and Homelander going full fascist.
Combine that with Butcher having a time limit(and possibly Hughie, though I'm skeptical that Temp V will actually be the death of either of them), the basic premise with Homelander being the endgame, and what elements of the comic ending the show has rejected vs embraced, and it seems the logical path. But I've seem a lot of concern that Kripke is getting distracted with ever-escalating shock value for shock value's sake and the show may turn into another Supernatural situation where it just drags on and on forever.
And it does feel like its been dragging on, especially with how the end of last season was handled. But a part of that also is, countiung season 4, we will have had a grand total of 24 episodes since 2019 (+8 for Gen V, I guess). Granted, there's been massive delays twice due to both Covid and the Strikes, which the show can't be blamed for, but 24 episodes over five years is gonna test audience patience.
8 episode seasons becoming the industry norm, but the vast majority of viewers are still people who've spent most of their life watching much longer seasons with consistent episode length made in the same amount of time or less, and all the production value in the world isn't gonna get past that hill if people feel their time is being wasted. And I do think there would be a lot less people complaining if season 3 had actually committed to A-Train and Maeve dying.
All that said, to me, season 5 being greenlit already sounds like they have a clear vision and are wanting to get things moving in a faster manner.
The thing that actually annoys me most is there's a high-profile leaker who has apparently been completely accurate in the past, who at this point has released a broadstrokes outline of basically every character's plotline this season, and Amazon knows about this person and seems to be fine with them doing so. I won't share what any of the spoilers are and the leaker has made a point of saying that they aren't spoiling everything, but right now I feel like I'm watching less to see what happens, and more to see what the context surrounding the spoilers are.

I realize that the things this leaker claims are lacking context (and many of them might fall into "maybe it'll better than it sounds on paper" territory at any rate), but still...
