Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Kurt Kunkle, God of Toxic Social Media Influencers.

Kurt Kunkle is a driver who works for a rideshare app called "Spree". Envious over Bobby Base Camp Kurt desired to become a viral internet star and started a new livestream called "The Lesson". Though using less than moral means — via poisoning passengers with bottles of water. Kurt demanded that Bobby share Kurt's stream, but when that doesn't work, Kurt would just kill Bobby and live stream for the latter's fans. Though soon enough, Kurt would gain a reputation as "The Rideshare Killer" but nobody identified him yet. Jessie's comedy show, would have her performing a bit about her encounter with Kurt and give out a not-so-subtle speech about how desperate people are to be internet famous, being willing to stop at nothing for a chance in the spotlight.

Alright... how's this for a suggestion?

EDIT: fixed the typo.

[up][up] That's not a bad proposal, and you are making a good argument about why Kurt fits Bad Influencer. That said, I will admit that the reasoning for your nomination is a bit too long (I wouldn't recommend it being too short either). An essential aspect of making proposals is that your reasoning should be as direct and concise as possible so that readers can quickly understand what your character and their trope suggestion are about without reading what looks like a Wall of Text to them.

I think this is your first formal suggestion, so I'll be nice and lenient for now. Here's a [tup].

I like it [tup] but you don't need to go too overly complicated. Here's an example with a few proposals of my own. Please tell me if you guys think these are good reps or not

  • The Alpha Centauri Star System, Divine Oft-Represented Star System: a dominion idea. For Stock Star Systems I feel it should go to a star system that is commonly used in sci-fi or other reference, hence Alpha Centauri. A trinary star system in the Local Stars, it is the closest star system to our own. As such, it gets some of the most fictional representations of a star system besides our own. Naturally it would function as a Composite Character of the different fictional versions with the real star system as the base
  • Komala, God of Laid-Back Koalas (Hall of Mammals, True Neutral)-Komala is a Normal type koala introduced in a Hawaii-inspired region. It exaggerates the sleepiness of real life koalas by the fact that it spends its entire life asleep, and merely sleepwalks to move around. This is reflected in its signature ability Comatose, where it has a permanent Sleep condition but without the drawbacks of not being able to do anything
  • Aegislash, God of Defend Commands: a restoration and retool. I am considering suggesting Aegislash for this trope. Why? Aegislash is a living, haunted sword. While many Pokemon have defend commands, its design and ability is tailor made for this trope. Aegislash's signature ability is Stance Change, where if it uses an offensive move it becomes an attack-oriented form and if it uses its signature move of Kings Shield it reverts to its shielded form. Kings Shield is a Protect variant that lowers the opponent's attack on contact. Old draft here: Aegislash

  • 2,000 years ago, five heroes and the guardian deity of Tikyu known as King Ohger defeated the Underground Empire Bognaarok and saved humanity. These five heroes became known as the Ohsama Sentai. The Ohsama Sentai, alongside the Shugods, ascended to become kings and established five kingdoms: Shugodom, N'kosopa, Ishabana, Gokkan, and Toufu, initiating an era of peace and prosperity. However, a prophecy predicted the return of Bognaarok, prompting the modern monarchs of Tikyu to unite as the Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. Together, they confronted this invasion and any other potential threats to their world.
  • On a seemingly average day on Tikyu, the partnered Shugods of the King-Ohgers were each suddenly given instructions to a certain location in the pantheon for an important meeting. After making the necessary arrangements, the monarchs traveled on the Shugods and arrived in the Court of the Gods to discuss the recent events of their story. The Reveal that Tikyu's entire history has been shaped by the Mad God and King of the Galactinsects, Dagded Dujardin, as the latest of many "games" he and his Jesters have orchestrated, which led to the destruction of countless civilizations. Despite the overwhelming power this force has presented and the connection to the truth behind Tikyu's very origins, the King-Ohgers were able to rally together and defeat the Galactinsects one by one, ending in the total destruction of Dagded once and for all with the support of the monarchs' citizens, leading to Tikyu having true peace for possibly the first time in its history. With this feat achieved despite the odds stacked against them, the courts have decided to grant the Ohsama Sentai a proper place within the Pantheon in order to have representation for nobility coming together and putting aside more personal ambitions and desires to unite towards one common goal, which they, of course, have accepted.
  • Due to each of them being a monarch with their own kingdom, their shared temple was designed to replicate their respective throne rooms in different areas of the building on the inside, while the outside of the building is identical to God Caucasus Kabuto in its castle form. And as usual, when the kings need to hold a team meeting for one reason or another, it is held within Shuggodamn's.
  • The King-Ohgers were already familiar with the existence and general workings of the Pantheon. Prior to their official ascension, they served as the collective High Priests to Moccamori. They were once heavily considered for her current occupation but settled for the High Priest position for the time being when Moccamori was chosen instead of them. Moccamori herself is very glad to see her good friends having an official place within the Pantheon and looks forward to working with them on various endeavors.
    • The second group to greet them into the Pantheon was the Kyoryugers, whom they encountered during the Galactinsects invasion and the Deboss's conquest of Earth, stripping them of their Bravery. They remain deeply grateful to the King-Ohgers for restoring their powers and defeating the Deboss army. Torin, in particular, was thrilled to meet the individuals who assisted his students during his absence.
  • Despite their eccentric and self-centered tendencies, all of the King-Ohgers take their duties as monarchs very seriously and are dedicated to the protection of their subjects and kingdoms from any threat. They follow the motto "the people are their rulers, and the rulers are their people." Therefore, they firmly believe that any person in power must wield their power for the sake of those under their rule. They are happy to ally with royalty who share this mindset and vehemently oppose those who use their authority to promote tyranny and oppression. This stance is particularly crucial given their experiences dealing with the former King of Shugddamn., Rcules Husty even though he was Good All Along.
    • They are particularly cautious of entities that lean towards the more eldritch side of existence. This caution stems from the revelation that Dagded Dujardin, a Cthulhu-like being, orchestrated the history of conflict on Tikyu and numerous civilizations in their universe, all for the amusement of watching "specks clean themselves up." Although they recognize that there are benevolent beings of that nature, the trauma of the Galactinsects' invasion remains vivid in their memories. Most such beings have opted to leave the group alone due to their possession of the Immortal Breaker powers, initially granted to Rcules by Dagded before being shared among the group.
  • Exclusive to Gira:
    • The king of Shugoddam, the largest nation in Tikyu. He grew up in an orphanage near Shugoddam Castle, but during the day of the Bognaarok attack, he took up the OhgerCalibur of the (then) King Rcules - who was revealed to be corrupt and ambitious - leading to him awakening God Kuwagata and becoming a King-Ohger. it was later revealed that he is the long lost younger brother of Rcules, allowing him to challenge his older brother for the throne of Shugoddam, which he won in their second duel. However, his true identity is a lifeform created by the Uchu King Dagded. His ability to communicate with the Shugods and his immortal body were both inherited from Dagded. Not only that, it was revealed that Rcules was Good All Along and pretended to be a tyrant in order to gain the power to permentally kill Dagded. Once this power was shared with the other King-Ohgers, Gira led the charge in killing his progenitor and free the universe from his tyranny.
    • Gira was pleasantly surprised to discover a sense of kinship with Banjou Ryuga and Riku Asakura, as they shared similar origins. Specifically, being "fathered" by monstrous alien beings as part of their schemes. Despite their shared pasts, they seldom delve into the darker aspects of their origins when they spend time together. Instead, they focus on enjoying each other's company and building a bond based on mutual respect and camaraderie.Their friendship blossomed over shared experiences and interests, usually while eating ramen.
    • Due to growing up in an orphanage after losing his memories, Gira has a deep empathy for children who are without families or struggling with similar circumstances. His memory loss was a result of consuming God Kuwagata's soul when he was a child. When he's not fulfilling his royal duties or attending to matters at the temple, one can often find him at the Pantheon's officially established orphanage. There, Gira volunteers his time and effort to help with various tasks, from watching over the children to ensuring that the orphanage remains a safe and nurturing environment for all. He takes pride in being able to contribute positively to the lives of these children, understanding firsthand the challenges they face.
    • Gira harbors a deep animosity towards the Toymaker, viewing him as a symbol of everything he despises in the universe. The Toymaker's belief that the universe is his personal playground, with its inhabitants mere toys for his amusement, echoes the behavior and personality of Gira's mortal enemy, Dagded, reminding him of the havoc wreaked by Dagded and the suffering caused to countless civilizations.
    • Has an Odd Friendship with Megumin that began in the early days of his ascension: when she accidentally cast an explosion spell that hit his shared temple due to her mistakingly lumping it with one of the abandoned castles she uses as practice in her world due to being one of the newer temples at the time. As a result, she was forced by the courts into having to lead in performing repair duties while being personally overseen by Gira, much to her initial misery. However, Gira and Megumin found common ground to bond over during this time, specifically being with being overdramatic and over the top at almost every chance they can get. Once Megumin's sentencing was done, when they are together, one can find them practicing and giving each other pointers on how to improve upon their dramatic chops.
Megumin: And how was that? Has my magnificent enchantments blown you away, O King of Evil?!
Gira: Sorry, but your voice isn't deep enough to make that phase work. Try again.
    Megumin: Awwww....
    • "Now fear me and heed my words! I will show no shred of mercy nor restraint, and spare no effort nor intent! The name of your demise... is Gira Husty! The man who'll become the King of Evil! And I... shall rule over this entire world!"'
  • Exclusive to Yanma:
    • The king of N'Kosopa, the land of technology, was once an orphan abandoned by his parents in the slums. Yanma came under the wing of Gin, who taught him everything he knows about technology. Through this knowledge, he went on to greatly improve the political power of N'Kosopa, which was once a vassal state of Shugoddam, through technological innovation. He uses insults such as "octomush" and "slack-jawed tanuki" on a daily basis.
  • As the World's Smartest Man and a Science Hero, Yanma is often found in the House of Technology to expand upon his knowledge and can be seen around the likes of Nikola Tesla and Amadeus Cho. Together, they engage in stimulating discussions, share innovative ideas, and collaborate on promising projects, with a couple being centered around the advanced power sources developed specifically on Tikyu. At first glance, Yanma's presence next to them might seem unexpected, especially considering his usual aloof demeanor. However, those who know Yanma well aren't surprised by this collaboration as, despite his outward aloofness, Yanma possesses a profound geeky side that makes him very excited to work with those kinds of people.
    • Despite their practically opposing backgrounds, Yanma can often be found spending time at Bulma Briefs' temple, or vice versa, as the two have developed a strong friendship due to their personalities meshing well together. The two are currently working on a new project, engaging in playful banter and good-natured ribbing as they collaborate the whole way through.
    • A particular figure in the Pantheon who has earned Yanma's animosity is Viktor, due to Yanma witnessing Viktor's origins prior to his descent into villainy, [1]. Yanma saw a lot of himself in Viktor's journey, particularly during the time when Viktor nearly succumbed to the power of his portion of the King's Proof. Adding to this animosity is Viktor's belief that he could advance his kingdom's technological prowess beyond what it is by sacrificing his humanity and becoming a full-fledged machine, a notion that Yanma vehemently rejects. Yanma firmly stands by the belief that he achieved success precisely because of his humanity and refuses to entertain the idea of forsaking it for technological progress.
      • On that note, another Runeterra champion that Yanma has a bone to pick with is Renata Glasc, whose goals and actions remind him of too much of one of his previous enemies, Rcules Husty with the actions he took to defeat Dagded, which he still resents to this day. For her part, Renata views him in the same light as the common Zaunites who don't side with her (something easy to do given his overall personality and origins) and holds little to zero respect for his title as king.
Renata: As if I care about the opinions of a man who knows nothing about wielding real power and influence.
Yanma: As if I need either of those to get to the top.
    • "I don't flatter or suck up to anybody. No matter who I'm dealing with, my guts and brains will be enough to break through. That's how the president of Nkosopa, Yanma Gast rolls."
  • Exclusive to Hymeno:
    • The queen of Ishabana, the land of art and medicine, became monarch at a young age due to losing her parents during the "Wrath of God" catastrophe fifteen years prior to the events of her series. She loves beautiful and cute things and will do whatever it takes to get what she likes. However, on the other hand, she also has the side of a passionate doctor, as she has no qualms about saving someone.
    • Given her occupation as Ishabana's best doctor, one can commonly find Hymeno at the Magnam Caelestis Medicinae Centrum, where she dedicates herself to aiding numerous patients in need of care by assisting the likes of Black Jack, Tony Tony Chopper, Angela Zeigler, and so others when her skills needed. However, despite her expertise and passion for medicine, she has been unable to open her own medical facility due to the demands of her role as a monarch. Nevertheless, Hymeno remains committed to providing the highest standard of healthcare to the people most in need, balancing her dual responsibilities with unwavering dedication.
      • The one who introduced Hymeno to this location is Florence Nightingale, with whom she closely collaborates in curing diseases and addressing various medical needs. Whenever Florence is present to handle a medical issue, Hymeno can usually be found right by her side, offering her expertise and support. Their partnership has been instrumental in providing comprehensive medical care and advancing healthcare practices within the realm.
Hymeno: We'll see this through. No illness nor affliction
Florence: I can always count on you when it manners, can I?
    • As the ruler of a nation known for its dedication to the arts, Hymeno is naturally a Cultured Badass who is particularly skilled at playing the piano and likes to put on a performance there once in a while whenever the House of Musicality has an event going on.
    • "I am the queen: Hymeno Ran. I will do as I wish, and stride down my own path. Now you shall witness the pride of the flower that will never wither!"
  • Exclusive to Rita:
    • The monarch of Gokkan, the land of ice and snow, also serves as the Chief Justice of the International Court of Justice of Tikyu, which protects the world's neutrality. Because of their position, they not only always hide their expressions but also rarely show any emotion, though they can make strange noises when they reach their limit. They speak few words and don't say anything unnecessary in public. The only "person" they open their heart to - at the beginning - is their plush doll of the anime character "Moffun" which they are absolutely obsessed with.
    • As Supreme Justice of Tikyu, Rita has been granted a personal courtroom within the House of Law and Justice, where individuals from the world of Toku are brought before her to stand trial and receive sentencing. In this capacity, she directly oversees proceedings and answers to the Judge, and when necessary, even Eiki Shiki herself.
    • Due to her love for cute things, Rita has become very good friends with Rena Ryugu and was happy to introduce her to everything Moffun-related.
Rena: I heard you drew a manga about Moffun, can I read it?!
    Rita: ...Only when it's finished.
    • As a ruler over a kingdom situated in the Grim Up North, Rita has forged close friendships with other benevolent "ice queens" such as Elsa and Mitsuru Kirijo. She values their shared dedication to using ice-based powers for noble and righteous purposes, fostering alliances built on trust and mutual respect. However, Rita harbors deep resentment and disdain towards those who misuse the power of ice for selfish and evil goals. People like Jadis and the Night's King represent everything Rita stands against — tyranny, cruelty, and the exploitation of power for personal gain. Their actions stand in stark contrast to Rita's commitment to using her abilities for the betterment of her kingdom and the protection of its inhabitants.
    • "The law is a spear that slays kings, and a shield that protects the people. That is why Gokkan stands resolute! The earth may shatter, and the heavens may fall... but I, Rita Kaniska, shall not waver!"
  • Exclusive to Kaguragi:
    • The lord of Toufu, the land of agriculture, always acts humble and polite in tone, but his words and actions are conspicuously theatrical, and he is what you might call a "con-man." Though he is "double-tongued" and willing to lie to achieve his goals, he is also willing to take the initiative, sweat, get his hands dirty, and "dye himself pitch black" to protect the lives of his people. This additude came about due to watching his predecessor and mentor, Iroki, burn herself to death during the "Fury of the Gods," in order to protect the reputation of Toufu when he couldn't go through with cutting her down himself.
    • Kaguragi's experiences as a farmer have not only equipped him with practical knowledge but also instilled in him a strong sense of responsibility towards sustainable agriculture. His visits to the Pantheon of Food have allowed him to broaden his horizons, learning innovative techniques and gaining insights into cutting-edge farming practices.
    • Rumors suggest that he's been clandestinely meeting with Lelouch vi Britannia, although the reasons for these meetings remain elusive to most. Some speculate that these meetings are related to potential alliances or secretive negotiations, while others believe they may involve strategic planning for unforeseen challenges. These mysterious encounters have sparked curiosity and intrigue among those aware of them, leading to various speculations about the nature of their discussions and the implications for their respective realms.
    • "For the sake of my people, I will cover myself in mud and dirty my hands. That is who I am: the lordly king, Kaguragi Dybowski!"
  • Exclusive to Jeramie:
    • A man born from his father, who was the sixth hero that saved humanity 2000 years ago, and his mother, Nephila, who is a Bognaarok. His real name is Jeramie Idmonarak Ne Brasieri, making him a distant relative of Dethnaarok VIII. As a "storyteller," he has been passing down the history of Tikyu for a long time, but he surfaced into the world to stop the battle between humans and Bognaarok. Eventually, he realized his goal once he became the King of the Bognaarok.
    • Initially forced by the other King-Ohgers to attend lessons in the House of Theatre and Spectacle to improve his storytelling skills and ensure clarity in his narratives, Jeramie was initially offended by this directive. However, as he delved deeper into the art of storytelling, Jeramie found himself pleasantly surprised by the experience. He has come to enjoy his visits to the house, discovering new techniques and approaches that have expanded his storytelling capabilities beyond what he thought possible. Through these lessons, Jeramie has learned to convey important information more effectively, enhancing his ability to engage and captivate his audience, eventually planning on teaching his subjects what he's learned.
    • Jeramie has discovered a strong connection with figures like Nero and Gohan, as they share a Commonality Connection of being largely defined by their part-human lineage. Despite the challenges that come with this heritage, they have each forged their own unique paths in life. The trio can often be found spending time together in various spots throughout the Pantheon, engaging in meaningful discussions and sharing their experiences. However, Nero and Gohan have occasionally pointed out that Jeramie tends to get bogged down in the details of the stories he tells. While his attention to detail is commendable, they encourage him to focus on conveying the essence of his narratives more effectively, striking a balance between intricate storytelling and engaging delivery.
    • Many have pointed out similarities between him and Char Aznable, much to Jeramie's intense distaste. While Jeramie acknowledges the surface-level comparisons, he is quick to emphasize that he has always strived to mend relations between humans and Bognaarok, despite inadvertently contributing to past hostilities. In contrast, Char has deviated from his initial goals and, by the end of his life, has become no better than the individuals who caused harm to his family.
    • "I am Jeramie Brasieri, ruling over man, Bognaarok, and everything else. The fate of the world is my story to dictate. The king of the in-between, and what he is here to do... all shall speak of it forevermore!"
  • "It's time for your advent, King-Ohger!"

Let me try this again. This is my draft for my Yu-Gi-Oh ideas. For Grandpa Muto, are there other retired folk/old people who used to be archeologists, or people experienced with Egypt? Who else owns a game shop? What other character traits should I bring up with him?

Sugoroku Muto, God of Satellite Family Members (Solomon Moto, Trusdale, Apdnarg Utom, Mask The Rock)

  • Annoyed by: Bubs
  • Suguroku Muto (or Solomon Moto if you're watching the English dub) is the grandfather of famed duelist Yugi Muto and owner of the Kame Game shop. In his youth he was an archeologist who visited the Valley of the Kings in hopes of finding the tomb of the Nameless Pharaoh aka Pharaoh Atem, being the one to find the Millennium Puzzle, though he was never able to solve it. Interestingly, in a past life he was that pharaoh's Grand Vizier, Shimon Muran, and wielded Exodia. Suguroku is a skilled player of games and a gambler who rarely lost, though one of the few times he did it led to him wearing overalls and retiring. Now he's content running his game shop, and serving as a mentor for his grandson Yugi. Occasionally he has gone out to play Duel Monsters like dueling with Jonouchi in KaibaCorps Grand Prix.
  • Yugi's grandfather was minded his own business, taking care of his shop on a quiet day where there weren't many customers. Everything seemed normal until he opened his mailbox and discovered an invitation to something called the Trope Pantheon. After the VHS tape Pegasus sent led to his soul getting stolen he was suspicious and asked Yugi if he knew if a trick was afoot, only to be informed that it was the same thing he and many of both his allies and enemies had joined. As a character defined by their familial relationship to another character, he was under consideration for the trope of Satellite Family Member. Suguroku may be in his seventies but he's not technologically blind and quickly adapted to using TV Tropes. His temple is Kame House, technically part of the House of Family and Relatives but functionally part of the House of Gaming as that's where his revenue comes from. For deities wanting to play Duel Monsters he's usually the one to check if they're looking for a more humble and friendly game shop.
  • He had met Judai/Jaden and friends "the long way round" at his card shop where even in his eighties he still was as chipper maintaining his shop. Sugoroku is generally friendly and doesn't hold a grudge, though he's still somewhat sore around Seto Kaiba and Pegasus; the former beat him and destroyed his Blue Eyes card, leading to him going to the hospital, and the latter stole his soul as part of his scheme. He's on speaking terms with them because they ultimately turned a new leaf, but they're otherwise neutral. Ultimately he only really opposes the unrepentant villains who threatened his grandson (and the world, given the scope of their plans). Yugi's grandfather is on really good terms with Exodia, interestingly enough. As mentioned, his previous life in Ancient Egypt had Exodia as his ka, and he used to have Exodia in his playset.
  • While he's retired from the archeology business, he still knows his stuff about Egypt and has stories to share with other archeologists. Him and Indiana Jones have become good friends discussing their past adventures, though Suguroku readily admits Indy has seen a lot more than he was able to. Him and Simon Petrikov are also friends, the latter having been an antiquarian who had studied some magical artifacts...sadly he spent the better part of a millennium driven crazy by one of them. With all the things he's seen of the Millennium Items and Shadow Games, he wasn't exactly surprised to learn the Egyptian gods were all too real in the Trope Pantheon. He's become quite interested in learning more about them, alongside the many pharaohs present asides from the Nameless Pharaoh. He's especially interested in Ahkmenrah, a Chummy Mummy who was brought to the land of the living thanks to a magical Egyptian artifact...he reminds the old man of Yami Yugi.
  • Suguroku's shop being called "Kame Game", basically translating to "Turtle Game", reminds a good amount of people of Muten Roshi. There's more than a few similarities between them; both are old, wise mentors of the protagonist, though Roshi has more of a role as the mentor, and they're both perverts. This isn't as obvious with Yugi's grandpa as his lechery was more an early characterization, but his interest in Vivian Wong and Otogi's cheerleaders wasn't exactly innocent. He still thinks Roshi is pervy, though to the older man's credit he's become better at controlling his lust. While they sometimes chat about beautiful women, most of the time they talk about their life experiences and how to give advice to those they care about. Roshi has decided to learn from him how to play Duel Monsters as a hobby.
  • He has somewhat of a rivalry with Comic Book Guy, come their mutual roles in the House of Commerce. He owns a major comic book shop of the Trope Pantheon, and Suguroku owns a major game shop. Comic Book Guy keeps trying to push advertisement for his shop over the old man, trying to get more customers. He was a bit annoyed to see a regular like Bart Simpson start to spend more pocket change at the Kame Game shop, causing the old man to quip "didn't you ban him?" Jeff simply responded with "we worked that out". While Yugi's grandpa is a bit exasperated by how much of a jerk Comic Book Guy can be, their rivalry is a harmless one and they'll sometimes show up at each other's shop to buy stuff from one another. Occasionally they meet up and chat, and/or snark, at the Kwik-e-Mart. Him and Apu seem to get along as small businessmen.
  • Brand X attempted to exploit the old man in hopes of pushing their awful, awful food products. Why him? Simply put, they wanted to look more appealing and "human". They propositioned him with an idea of becoming a promoter for Brand X food, by tying them with the games he sold. Suspecting them from the start, he asked the representative "could you taste test your food first?" That representative was nervous since he knew what their food taste like, so instead he decided to gamble and say "OK, let's decide it over poker. You win, I'll taste test it and we'll leave you alone forever. I win, you sell your game shop to us and we turn it into a market". Unfortunately for that representative Suguroku was a very lucky gambler and took some pride in seeing the representative prove how bad that proposal would've been for him.
  • As he's a friendly old man with a humble job, it's hard to really piss him off. Make jokes about him lusting over Black Luster Soldier and he'll just go "ah, I see you're a fan of that abridged series". Some people do piss him off, though. Though a bit of a pervert, he's far from the creep that Nobuyuki Sugou is. His abuse of the virtual world's gaming system and general sleaze-baggery made him permanently blacklisted from Kame Game. No, the fact he has no interest in Duel Monsters or the other games at his shop doesn't change that. He's definitely not a fan of Yoshihiro Kira either. For one, he's worried his Stand ability might cause some chaos if he gets access to Duel Monster cards, despite Yoshihiro saying "that's not how my Stand works you old fool!" More seriously, Yoshihiro is aiding and enabling his Serial Killer of a son and making Morioh a less safe place. The ghostly Stand user tried to defend his actions by saying he's making up for his wife's abusenote , only for Sugoroku to say that's a BS excuse.
  • While an expert gambler, Sugoroku Muto knows that eventually, your luck will run out. This is but one of many reasons why he has absolutely no interest in playing any game with the D'arby brothers, who he's naturally horrified by them gambling with human lives. Daniel at least finds his refusal to duel unfortunate, since he respect for his skill, but Telence is just an ass so he doesn't care. Yugi is glad they aren't trying to antagonize his grandpa outright since the way their Stands work is highly reminiscent of a Shadow Game. However Sugoroku is fine gambling for smaller wagers like a chocolate milkshake. Him and Tsunade decided to gamble over who pays for a month's worth of bento boxes with a game of Duel Monsters...Sugoroku won, though she insists that this was unfair because it was her first time playing Duel Monsters. They'll still make friendly wagers, just with more fair games.
  • Has a bit of a complicated opinion on Grunkle Stan. Sugoroku sees him as a troublemaker, a swindler a washout...but also a good friend, who reminds him of some of the stuff he got up to back in the day. Stan wishes that he did more higher stake gambling with him and thinks he's a bit of a washout, but this comes off more as friendly ribbing. While Yugi's grandfather is annoyed by Bubs and his swindling ways, he sees in Stan Pines a more devious version of himself but really fun company, who'll prove his worth when he needs to.

The Millennium Items

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sennenitems.png
  • Hall: Artifacts Library
  • Appearance: Different golden items, almost all identified with an eye symbol
  • Class Level: 4
  • Museum Check: Cleared
  • Alignment: Neutral Good and Chaotic Evil (the Millennium Puzzle and Ring respectively). The other items are True Neutral with potential for evil
  • Portfolio: Artifact of Doom, The Result Of Sacrificing a Village, Shadow Games, Ancient Egypt
  • Domains: Magic, Sacrifices, Souls, Darkness, Gaming, Mystery, Curses
  • Soul Jar for: The Other Yugi/the Nameless Pharaoh (the Millennium Puzzle), Dark Bakura/the Spirit of the Millennium Ring (and by extension, Zorc Necrophades) (the Millennium Ring)
  • Deities that have wielded the item: Yugi Muto (the Millennium Puzzle), Ryou Bakura (the Millennium Ring), Pegasus J Crawford (the Millennium Eye), Marik Ishtar and Dark Marik (the Millennium Rod)
  • Source of interest: Edward and Alphonse Elric, Van Hohenheim, Father and the Homunculi, Lord Voldemort, the D'arby brothers (in general), Bender "Bending" Rodriguez (the Millennium Eye), Isis (the Millennium Necklace), the Phantom Thieves, Razputin Aquato (the Millennium Key), Ammit, Osiris, Anubis (the Millennium Scale)
  • The Millennium Items date back over 3000 years, commissioned by the pharaoh Akhenamekhanen to protect Anceint Egypt from an invading army. Made by his brother Akhenaden, these seven items had various powers, all sharing the ability to perform the dangerous Shadow Games. Their creation was soaked in blood, however; the 99 residents of the thief town Kul Elna were sacrificed to make them. This was the Start of Darkness for the Thief King, and it's what allowed the monster Zorc Necrophades to begin his scheme to cover the world in darkness. The Nameless Pharaoh sealed the darkness away, and eventually the items would be dug up in the modern day.
  • Applies to the artifacts as a whole
    • Following the passing the Nameless Pharaoh true name Atem, the items were buried deep underground...at least until Kaiba dug them up as part of his scheme to have one last, definitive duel with his rival. He refuses to go into detail as to how that went, instead having Kaiba Corp make a delivery of the Millennium Items to the Great Treasury. Interviewers attempted to get an answer for why but he wasn't available for an answer. The only thing known is that before the overhaul of the treasury they used to be artifacts in the pantheon, but were removed in the overhaul for some beauacratic reasons. The current display is supposed to have all seven, but the Millennium Ring is almost always missing from it because it is taken/linked to Yami Bakura. The Millennium Puzzle is normally on loan with Yugi, due to its ties to the Nameless Pharaoh. While the other Millennium Items can be loaned to other deities, permission is required and they are items not to be trifled with.
    • Created from blood sacrifice following instructions of the Millennium Spellbook, together the seven items have the ability to summon Zorc Necrophades to the mortal world. Their ability to initiate Shadow Games and dark magic associated with them gives the items great potential for evil, though except for the Millennium Ring none of the items are evil persay. A comparison could be made with the Fullmetal Alchemist with how the Philosopher's Stone is made, except the Items don't contain still-screaming souls. The Elric brothers and their father are trying to make sure Father and his homunculi don't try to pilfer the items, and make sure if the Spellbook is ever ascended it's kept lock and key to make sure nobody tries to make more Millennium Items. There is a rule against using the Millennium Items in the House of Gaming to prevent any Shadow Games, and even outside of that their abilities would allow someone to cheat at the games. The D'arby brothers think it's a silly rule given their own abilities are similar to the Shadow Games, and despite everything they've done their position in their house is secured.
    • According to Shadi three items (the Key, Scale and Necklace) represent justice, three items (the Ring, Rod and Eye) are weak to evil and the Puzzle represents both evil and justice. Because of their dark background and potential for evil they're of interest to the GUAE and the GUAG. Also, their dark history has been yet more fodder for Linkara's jokes about how Ancient Egypt is evilnote . They're of more interest to the House of Magic and Sorcery, mainly because the various members of the house are seeking to use their powers for good, ill or just because they're useful. The House of Death and Postmortem, namely its Psychopomp leaders, feel they should keep an eye as all together the seven Millennium Items are a necessary part in allowing the other Yugi to move on to the next life.
    • The items do not respond well to the unworthy, usually killing them (sometimes worse). Indiana Jones was pretty Genre Savvy in treating the Millennium Items gingerly, emphasizing that they belong in the pantheon's museum and should be kept in the Great Treasury. Any discussion with him that they should have their power combined with another artifact just frustrates him. Some D-Class schmuck was given a test to bring the Key near the Ark of the Convenant, which ended with him and the foolish researches who ordered it becoming pillars of salt...who'd have thought the Abrahamic God wouldn't like these blood sacrifice Egyptian relics near the Ark? Ahkmenrah has stated that he wants them to be kept separate from his Tablet as he's wary of how they might affect another Egyptian magical artifact.
  • Applies to the artifacts individually
    • The Millennium Puzzle and Ring are unique since, as already mentioned, they contain the spirits of people. The Puzzle is notoriously hard to solve in large part due to Yami Yugi's influence and has a more general purpose of enhancing skill, accessing and protecting from magic. The Ring can find what the wielder is looking for like a compass, but benefits are outweighed by the malignant evil in the item. Even without Zorc or the Thief King, it's still corruptive. Voldemort was fascinated by these items since they work as a sort of Horcrux variant, though the abilities and how they function as "horcruxes" is somewhat different. He doesn't intend to steal them because he can't make a horcrux over something already "occupied" like they are, but it has inspired him to try and steal the other Millennium Items and make them horcruxes. Zorc is intrigued by this since it could allow him to influence Voldemort, but he and by extension Yami Bakura refuse to let him co-opt the artifacts.
    • The Millennium Eye lets you read people's minds. Admittedly useless for telepaths like the Martian Manhunter unless you want to play a Shadow Game, but pretty useful for anyone wanting telepathy. It's only got two downsides. One, if someone can pull a Memory Gambit like flipping between different personalities they can cheat the system. Two, it requires an empty eye socket. This wasn't a problem for Bender that time he managed to steal the Eye, calling Pegasus "a lightweight meatbag" as he could just unscrew one of his eyes and plug the artifact in. He freaked out a bit when he saw the spirit of the Countess de la Roca, much as how Pegasus saw a vision of his lost love, but got over it. Bender almost won a big poker game until he went up against Fry, who's mind still couldn't be read even with a magic artifact. The Eye was later recovered from a nearby trash can and returned to the museum.
    • The Millennium Rod has perhaps the most potential for evil since not only is it used for mind control, but it also has a sharp end to stab people with. Marik set up a rumor that it can only control people named Steve and can be used as a lightsaber, but no-one really bought it and he admitted he made it up for a lark. However, strong enough Heroic Willpower can allow one to break out of control. The Hall of Mind Control wonders if their own techniques could somehow enhance the item. Death Phantom muses that compared to his own power of Mind Manipulation, it might as well be glorified metal, but Jervis Tetch thinks it's a neat secondary means of control and looks fashionable. There was a test to see if it could entrance someone already entranced by the Hypnotoad; it succeeded, but the Hypnotoad simply stared and mind controlled
    • The Millennium Necklace's role was formerly used by Ishizu Ishatar, and way back in the day her previous life Isis. No, not the goddess, she just happened to share the name. The actual goddess is interested in it, but more as a glorified piece of jewelry as her own divine powers overshadow the Necklace. It's main ability is to see the future, and also the past. However it still has its limits, and its abilities are obscured by other millennium items. Though Ishizu never had any intent to use it for Shadow Games, if she ascends she still cannot be expected to use it in the House of Gaming as it could be seen as a form of cheating. How effective the Necklace is can fluctuate wildly; tests from the House of Prophecy shows it's highly effective in deterministic settings but useless in ones that break fate. Anyone wearing it within the House of Time and Temporality will suffer a migraine due to the conflicting laws of time inevitably present there.
    • The Millennium Key stands as the only Item to lack the eye symbol on it. It allows you to unlock and enter somebody's mind. It's comparable to what the Phantom Thieves and Razputin Aquato are capable of, however Yami Yugi's amnesia caused his mind to come off as some labyrinth. Some poor Arkham guard tried to use the Key to enter the Joker's mind in order to figure out what was wrong with him, only to be lost in a maddening MC Escher-esque carnival. Perhaps he should've been found as unworthy by the Key.
    • The Millennium Scale is perhaps the least explored of the Items, and like the Key was primarily in possession of the enigmatic Shadi. can weigh a person's sin against the Feather of Ma'at. While extremely evil hearts like Yami Bakura and probably the Joker too overwhelm it, most wicked souls can expect to face the wrath of Ammit eating them. Anubis has dryly mused that the Millennium Scale is basically a knock-off of the Scales of Justice he and Osiris use to judge the dead, jokingly wondering if they should sue for plagiarism.
    • The Pyramid of Light and Quantum Cube are considered by some unofficial Millennium Items, but aren't listed in the canon seven so they aren't officially listed in the Great Treasury. The former is basically an in-universe knock-off of the Puzzle that got co-opted by the sorcerer Anubis for his own purposes, also acting as a Soul Jar. The actual Anubis is embarrassed by the whole thing since he doesn't like some Generic Doomsday Villain giving him a bad name. The latter is "semi-official", and can send others to another dimension where they're doomed to disintegrate. Some SCP Foundation agents argued it should somehow join the canon seven, only to sheepishly admit it's yet another scheme to terminate SCP-682.

[up]There are plenty of deities who were raised by grandparents. Arnold Shortman and Aldo would love to be friends with him and share their stories (particularly Aldo)

Another shopkeeper would be Uncle Chan who would seriously be interested in researching this Egyptian magic and the like.

And of course, what does Solomon think of all the characters post GX?

Also if you wanna be funny, throw in Big Bird for his epic dressing down on Osiris.

  • Domains: The moon, wind, deceit, guilt, memories
  • Herald: The Moon Queen
  • Complicated relationship: Klonoa
  • Allies: The King of Sorrow, Princess Luna, Nebby (as Lunala), Sailor Moon, Naminé, Shūkurō Tsukishima, Sparx
  • Enemies: Joka, Lenna, Shadow the Hedgehog, Nightmare Moon, Dr. Eggman, Majora's Mask
  • Huepow is a spirit who lives inside the wind ring, a magical object that allows its bearer to inflate mooks. Klonoa met him while walking in the woods one day, and they've been best friends ever since. Except... that was all a lie. He's actually the humanoid prince of Cress, the long-hidden Moon Kingdom, who summoned Klonoa from another world and gave him fake memories so he could save Phantomile from Ghadius' nightmares. However, during their adventure, he grew attached to Klonoa, and felt horribly guilty when he told him the truth. When Klonoa was forcibly sucked out of Phantomile, Huepow was on the verge of tears.
  • Huepow was chosen to represent Platforming Pocket Pal because because he disappears into the wind ring during gameplay, allowing him to stay with Klonoa at all times. He used to be Klonoa's herald, so naturally they reunited after Huepow ascended. Their history had been an Elephant in the Living Room for a while, even though Klonoa had long since come to accept his role as the Dream Traveller. Huepow's ascension gave them a chance to talk things through with each other. Despite how much they've changed, they still agree that Joka is their enemy. When they learned he was causing trouble in the Pantheon, they teamed up to stop him.
  • Huepow had never met the King of Sorrow before the Pantheon, but Klonoa had. They have a lot in common: they're both royals from a long-hidden kingdom with a blue and gold colour scheme, and the Kingdom of Sorrow is called Hyuponia. They have so much in common, in fact, that some interpret the King as the embodiment of Klonoa's sorrow about being forced out of Phantomile. Regardless of whether this is true or not, the King of Sorrow regarded Huepow with suspicion at first, but they eventually bonded over their similarities.
  • Lenna was horrified when she learned about what Huepow did to Klonoa. Despite his repentance and best intentions, she just can't forgive him. It's eerily similar to what Delvin did to her — altering her memories and then manipulating her because he thought it would save the kingdom, but instead only corrupting it more. Similarly, Shadow the Hedgehog thought he had fake memories at one point, so he's wary of Huepow.
  • Naturally, Huepow gets along with moon-related deities. He especially sympathises with Princess Luna, who was sealed away in the moon, much like how the Moon Kingdom was sealed off from the rest of Phantomile for a long time. Plus, just like Klonoa, Luna can enter dreams. However, he's enemies with Luna's Superpowered Evil Side, Nightmare Moon, because she tried to cover the world in darkness like Ghadius. Usagi, or Sailor Moon, is also the heir of a moon kingdom, though in her case, she didn't know about it until later in life. Huepow also gets along with Nebby's Lunala form despite not having any powers over the moon; she just happens to have the aesthetic. He doesn't take kindly to Dr. Eggman, who once blew up half the moon, or the entity possessing Majora's Mask, who tried to crash the moon into Termina.
  • Huepow has a lot in common with Naminé and Shūkurō Tsukishima. Naminé was forced to alter Sora's memories to make him think she was his childhood friend instead of Kairi, who she was a clone of. She hates using her powers, and eventually restored Sora's memories to normal, but he had to forget all about her as a side-effect. Shūkurō is the God of Fake Memories, and used to use his powers to mess with people, but eventually reformed and felt remorse for his actions.
  • On a lighter note, Klonoa encouraged Huepow to seek out other gods who share his trope. Sparx really is Spyro's childhood friend, and they've been together for all their adventures. While Huepow allows Klonoa to attack, he's interested in how Sparx has an even more important role: magically taking damage for Spyro.

[up] The Xiaolin Dragons and Jack Spicer (alongside other parties) battled one another to collect mystical Xiaolin artifacts called the Shen Gong Wu which were originally created by the Grand Master Dashi to combat Heylin witch Wuya.

In the world of Symphogear, there exists Relics which are ancient weapons and objects created through the lost art of heretical technology that inspired many myths and folklore. The ascended Symphogear Wielders' own titular gear, and Carol Malus Dienheim's Faust Robenote , were sourced from fragments of Relics.

For specific artifacts, Judgement Bird possesses a scale of his own. It was originally fair, but when someone pointed out the possibility of it never leaning toward one way it rigged it so it could always yield a clear verdict: guilty. And upon weighing someone's sins, a noose appears around their neck hung by a post manifesting behind them which is then followed by an immediate lynching.

Very slowly writing out Dongbaek's ascension story. Can anyone just hit me with some big bad technological enemy? Not really that picky in this case.

The current outline is that said big bad causes a bad enough incident that induces a large wave of technophobia among the Pantheon's nameless mortal populace. A newly revived Dongbaek notices this and seizes the opportunity to rally them under her banner and exploits her position as an now unofficially-ascended deity to gather Mecha Mooks across the worlds connected to the Pantheon then raid L Corp branches for their E.G.Os which is enough to get her on the map and be officially instated.

For those that have viewed my current sandbox, I am looking for advice on what to add to my future drafts

  • Hans Landa: What non-Nazi villains do you think he would be friends with due to similar personality and goals?
  • The Infinity Gauntlet: I am considering having six Overdeities watch over the gems/stones, and I already have Chronoa in mind for the Time Gem. Who do you think should be in charge of keeping an eye over each of the other gems?

  • Barry Berkman was a professional hitman hired by his personal handler, Monroe Fiches, to hunt down and kill “bad people''. Despite his natural skill at firearms and killing people, Barry grew dissatisfied and depressed by his occupation, not helped by his PTSD reflections based on his experience as a United States Marine in the War on Afghanistan. A stroke of luck came to him one day when visiting Los Angeles, where Barry would become interested in acting and take up tutelage under Gene Cousineau, an esteemed but self-centered actor and teacher who was willing to give Barry a chance. Unfortunately, Barry’s criminal life would not go away easily as he and Fuches would quickly become involved with multiple European gangs, especially the Chechen faction led by Goran Pazar and later NoHo Hank. Further complicating matters is Barry starting a relationship with fellow actress Sally Reed, the LAPD gaining evidence to incriminate Barry for his crime activities in Los Angeles and his eventual fallout with Fuches, who repeatedly either gaslights Barry into working for him or betrays him on countless occasions.
    • Barry’s life would reach an all-time-low when he would jeopardize his and Sally’s relationship as well as destroy Cousineau’s trust in him, especially as Barry came to rely on Gene as a potential father figure, and that he would find difficulty in accepting responsibility as well as becoming more aggressive and volatile in his scuffle against the law, the European Mafias, and anyone who came to learn of his dark secrets, culminating in his arrest for the murder of a police officer and his affiliation with the Chechen gang. Thanks to NoHo however, Barry would escape prison and convince a broken and jaded Sally to run away with him to the American Midwest, hiding there with a mundane, unhappy life for years while having a son together, John. But after hearing Gene talking about potentially making a movie about his former student, Barry decides to go back to Los Angeles to kill him, which would kickstart a chain of events that would lead to NoHo Hank’s death, his family’s safety is assured, and Barry realizing how he should allow himself to be arrested. Before he can turn himself in, Barry is shot and killed by Cousineau out of revenge, but due to a swath of incriminating evidence against him penned earlier days ago, Cousineau is sentenced for manipulating Barry to do his "dirty work" in addition to murdering him while Barry is posthumously vindicated as a Tragic Hero in the public zeitgeist.
  • Despite all the shortcomings Barry went through and his death, it seemed as if another chance had been given to him in another life. As it turned out, Barry would end up in the Pantheon with his first thoughts being one of shock and unease as he learned more about the divine realms, but what really took him off-guard was how he was posthumously seen as a misunderstood, tragic figure who was the victim of a criminal conspiracy, something he found incredibly conspicuous as he came to learn about ‘’The Mask Collector’’, the film based on Barry’s life during his time as a student actor and his involvement with the European Mafias. Initially, he considered turning himself in to the police, but the sudden realization that he was vindicated suddenly gave him an idea of sorts; he was free to do whatever he liked and he didn't have to go back to being an assassin now that the public has a lionized depiction of him. Of course, Barry has a strange case of guilt about his predicament and past actions, but he does feel that the Pantheon might present him with the golden opportunity he never had back in his mortal life.
  • Barry Berkman is a complicated figure. He's a meek, mild-mannered, and amiable man, and all of this is genuine, which unfortunately feeds into his desire for approval and vindication from others, but he also aims to change that by pursuing a career where he can be in full control of himself, even if that came with middling results. Despite it all, Barry is a self-centered man who desperately tries to convince himself to be doing something good, or that he's better than most, but this, combined with his PTSD experiences from Afghanistan and being hired to kill people has left him a depressed wreck. He's also quite paranoid, willing to kill anybody who could potentially expose his criminal past and he would quickly try to justify that as "having had no choice", clearly wanting to dodge responsibility. He's really good as a hitman, able to near-flawlessly shoot down multiple targets, be it in a short amount of time, or from a long distance, but none of this brings him any satisfaction and his experience with Fuches, Hank, and the European Mafia cells in Los Angeles have jaded him from the criminal lifestyle. If there was any excitement he had, it was through acting as he steadily managed to prove himself a good learner, even if he had to let out his trauma and frustrations to bring out a genuine performance and his general acting is subpar at best. All of this, and in the Pantheon, Barry is trying to figure out whether he could return to acting or at least do a role that's about something other than killing people. He's also unsure whether to turn himself in now that almost everyone sees him as a tragic, broken man manipulated by Cousineau when the truth is a lot murkier than that.

  • The Greybeards are an ancient, religious organization in Skyrim who make their home in Mount Hrothgar, located at the Throat of the World. Currently led by the elder Arngeir, the group consists of several elderly and venerable individuals who took to learning the Dragon’s tongue and language, the Thu’um, they follow a pacifistic creed that their legendary powers be used mainly for respecting the deities of Tamriel and to mediate and control their powers as much as they could, hence their decision to be based high up in the mountains. They await for the day the Last Dragonborn comes into being whereupon they will take it upon themselves to mentor and train the warrior in refining and mastering the Thu’um in the hopes that he would be prepared to duel against the renegade dragon god, Alduin. Throughout his progress, the Dovahkiin would be told that Arngeir is merely the figurehead for the Greybeards; the true leader and grandmaster of the religious order was actually a dragon named Paarthurnax and unlike most of his kin, he was an affable being who instead desires to help the Dragonborn.
    • Paarthurnax was one of the oldest draconic beings created by Akatosh. The direct brother of Alduin, he served as his sibling’s direct lieutenant in trying to devastate and subjugate humanity into submission and slavery under their rule. However, Paarthurnax began to feel that Alduin was taking too far in his desire for conquest and expressed remorse and shame over enabling his brother to terrorize the world. As his way of atonement, he decided to discreetly teach mankind the Thu’um so that they could combat their oppressors in equal measure, eventually succeeding in vanishing Alduin. Despite this, Paarthurnax’s guilt lingered and he decided to retreat to the Throat of the World to live in exile, though not without adopting the Way of the Voice and establishing a friendship with the Greybeards’ founder, Jurgen Windcaller. He would wait for thousands of years until the Last Dragonborn would turn up, with Paarthurnax offering him as much wisdom and training as he could in the hopes that the Dovahkiin could finally defeat Alduin. Ultimately successful, Paarthurnax would keep on tabs with the Last Dragonborn and look forward to a better future for Skyrim, even if he feels unsure about himself and Alduin’s fate.
  • With the Dragonborn’s ascension into the Pantheon, Paarthurnax and the Greybeards were invited into the divine realms as his personal heralds, which helped greatly as Paarthurnax acted as a mediator to convince many, especially other dragons, that the Dovahkiin wasn't a mindless dragon hunter who sought extinction towards their kind, even if the warrior himself has a code to only hunt down malicious and hostile dragons if necessary. So it came as a shock to the organization when they were told of their ascension by Cosmos, whom the Dragonborn had a friendly relationship with and the goddess was interested and impressed by Paarthurnax’s wisdom as well as his feat of aiding someone to reach their potential as well as overcoming his vices. The dragon remained humble as he believed that his recognition in the Pantheon should less be about him and the Greybeards being celebrated and about how they may be needed for a new world. He and Arngeir believed that Alduin isn't the primary reason for their ascension, despite their awareness of the World Eater’s presence in the Pantheon, but they do feel that they may be required as mediators for dragons as well as beings like them. The Greybeards have made it clear about their decision to remain isolated, believing that their powers are too dangerous to be left exposed for others to witness, but they do accept anyone into their domain so long as their intentions are clear and just, plus Paarthurnax wants to make sure their domain is protected and respected. And though he may be a force for good at the moment, the dragon does feel a sense of unease about whether most of the Pantheon are willing to accept his redemption given his past crimes against humanity for his role as Alduin's lieutenant.
  • As practitioners of the Thu’um, the Greybeards are capable of exhibiting great power simply by speaking the draconic language. They can breathe fire, distort space, blast through the fabric of hair, call down lightning and meteors, and much more, but given the devastating might of these shouts, the Greybeards secluded themselves to make sure they don't harm anyone with their voice, even if they maintain great control and restraint over them. Those aside, the organization is humble and polite towards others and as practitioners of the Way of the Voice, they are pacifists who prefer not to fight or have their teachings used for combat and warfare, though they are capable of fighting back if necessary. Despite their exclusivity and their reclusiveness, those who learn about the Greybeards in the Pantheon hold a good opinion towards them as they’re all affable men who simply want the divine realms to be prosperous. As for Paarthurnax, he initially felt more reclusive than the Greybeards, but since the organization’s ascension, he’s since had to make his presence known a bit more, an arduous task as he still felt that dragons are terrifying creatures feared by all, himself included. Yet, he was surprised by how he’s had a growing approval in the Pantheon for a few reasons. Still, Paarthurnax would prefer having intellectual talks with anyone who intrigues him over fighting, even if he’s proven to be a formidable fighter.
  • It didn't take long for the Greybeards to see themselves learning about the Pantheon, even if their pace was rather slow due to their isolated nature, though their contact with the Dovahkiin has ensured they are up to speed with critical events and circumstances. While their tabs on Alduin is their biggest priority, the Greybeards are also keen to understand other worlds and their inhabitants, but because of how they operate, they're the ones who need guests, for they must come directly to High Hrothgar, a task that seems quite hard given its placement on a high mountain. Fortunately, they have had guests attending them, with all of them being heroes and benevolent warriors who came to learn about the organization either through the Dragonborn or word of mouth. Cosmos and her personal emissary, the Warrior of Light, are a frequent guest, with the goddess’s wisdom and the latter’s chivalry offering a number of topics for Arngeir and Paarthurnax to converse on. The reformed dragon sometimes talks to Cosmos in private, for he is aware of her nature as a manakin and commends Cosmos for proving herself resilient to fight against her nature. While it's not something she likes to think about, Cosmos appreciates Paarthurnax’s sentiments and his level of wisdom. The Warrior of Light also draws comparison to the Dovahkiin in being a noble and powerful warrior, though his staunch loyalty towards Cosmos, while admittedly respectable, does lead the organization to wonder whether the warrior would be willing to defy Cosmos should it be the right thing to do, a question that he finds quite hard to find a response to.
  • In contrast to the Dragons of Tamriel who were primarily destruction-driven beasts and inherently divine via their ancestry from Akatosh, dragons in the Pantheon were incredibly diverse; some were simply animals, albeit territorial ones, while others were benevolent forces or just as malicious as Alduin. They also came in different sizes, shapes and adaptations, if wyverns, drakes, and wyrms were of any indication. In contrast to the Dragonborn who had to earn his goodwill towards whatever good-hearted dragons he encountered, Paarthurnax was accepted much more quickly, with Cosmos’s relationship with him being a big benefit in that. Falkor and Spyro were prime examples of how a dragon can choose to be good, which vindicated Paarthurnax’s belief of how one could overcome their vices while the antics and unique friendship of Hiccup Horrendous and his Night Fury steed, Toothless, showed how a human-dragon is possible and the Greybeards were surprised by how different dragons were in the divine realms. To consolidate their newfound alliances, these kind-hearted dragons are allowed visitations to High Hrothgar with Arngeir and Paarthurnax being open to talking to them about the Dragons of Skyrim and opening up the possibility of expanding on a coalition between humans and draconic kind.
  • Dragons are often a symbol of power and, in several other worlds, were generally seen as deities, a fact that the Greybeards are familiar with given Alduin and Akatosh’s reputation and nature as such. As a result, they quickly understood the situation between Io, Bahamut, and Tiamat and while the Greybeards maintained contact with the former two, with Bahamut being eager to cooperate in a potential dragon-human coalition, Tiamat proved a troublesome foe, not helped by how she believed Paarthurnax was weak for choosing humans over his own kin, though the redeemed dragon likens the dragon chimaera's ambition for destruction a bit too similar to Alduin’s. Mila and Duma, the dragon deities of Valentia, were immediate figures of interest, especially as Paarthurnax found Mila quite peculiar given her representation of compassion and nurture while he understood Duma’s drive for battle and conquest. The fact that morality was a blurred line made for quite the philosophical talk with the two as the reformed dragon recounted his past experiences and mused whether their teachings would be refined upon by their governing successors, Alm and Celica. Mila and Duma would admit that their conversation with a fellow dragon-like Paarthurnax allowed them to express themselves about several matters they would otherwise keep hidden from their worshippers and his affable demeanor meant that the divine siblings enjoyed his company, even if Duma wished he could fight against Paarthurnax and the Dovahkiin if mainly ly to prove their warrior might, which Paarthurnax addressed that there will come a time, though it would be better spent proving this towards their enemies.

@ Hans Landa: Enemies with the likes of Lt. Jimmy Patterson, Lt. Mike Powell, and Manon Batiste. All of them are members of the OSS, the intelligence branch of the US Armed Forces during WWII, and the same organization that spawned The Basterds. On top of that, Landa is, in essence, an Evil Counterpart to the Patterson and Powell, being highly intelligent and skilled officers serving as part of their countries' respective elite units (the OSS and 2nd Ranger Battalion for the former, the Waffen-SS for the latter). Manon, being a French Resistance fighter, has fought members of the Waffen-SS throughout her wartime career, infiltrating their castle in Wewelsburg, Germany, and stopping members of the SS from blowing up Paris during the Liberation of the city of light in 1944. At one point, she personally killed a Resistance Double Agent who was working with the Waffen-SS.

In addition, there's Lt. Karl Fairburne, a member of the SOE, the British equivalent of the OSS, who ends up working for the OSS themselves during the Battle of Berlin. Fairburne, with his disgust and contempt for the Nazis as a whole, wouldn't trust Landa, especially considering that the latter is working with several of Fairburne's own enemies in the Pantheon.

As for Allies, despite their initial mistrust of him for obvious reasons, Landa would still have the Waffen Infantry, Waffen Officers, and Waffen Senior Troopers as well as the Waffen Storm Leaders and Nazi Storm Elites under his command, with a number of them serving as his personal Mooks. Since it's established Landa still cares for subordinates on top of having excellent charisma and communications skills, he's able to just get them to continue working under him, albeit with some distrust.

[up][up] For Paarthurnax and the Greybeards, Black Bolt's voice is incredibly destructive so he has to keep silent lest he accidentally wrecks things. The Queen/Vader Eloha can attack people with her own words.

I would like to formally suggest Nugget as god of chicken nuggets (greater deity/overdeity, hall of meals A-M) as he is obsessed with nuggets, has nuggets on him at all times and would kill himself if he is presented with cold nuggets. the reason he is a greater deity/overdeity is cause he is able to destroy many people and turn the sky red, summon lightning, and turn people to dust (there is a caveat as he does need the talismen to do these acts) thank you for reading.

[up] That's the first time I've seen someone propose a tropeless food god. I know I have the minority opinion on those, so I'm abstaining, but he doesn't sound overdeity-worthy.
