... never? I can't really think of a time in Hollywood's history when actors weren't human beings with outspoken political opinions.
In any case, Pollock is also up there saying stuff like "Sonic Adventure 2 was mid, and Forces is peak gaming," so if he's not being hacked then something really weird is going on with him, at least.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I specified V As for a reason
It's the same thing. They are human beings with their own opinions.
This fanbase really can't stop having drama every week, but I think this was the last straw for me.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Yeah, that bit is definitely out of character for him. He's very open about not being a gamer at all.
SoundCloud...I cannot believe I'm wasting my time on this. Yes I'm aware that people are allowed to have opinions. I'm ALSO aware that some people are smart enough not to share opinions that could be considered controversial or cause them to face some form of consequence.
I think it's fair to say that Voice Actors have more public scrutiny nowadays than they ever have before.
Like, because they're not really public figures, they could just do whatever for the longest time and it wouldn't be noticed by the audience.
Social media is the great equalizer in that regard.
American life in general becoming more politicized in the last decade hasn't helped
Sonic is actually a great political speaker just saying.
I do hope one of the games has him offhandedly mentioning he's happy GUN collapsed and considers the Black Arms invasion a simple Enemy Mine. I mean he doesn't actually stop Shadow from shooting up their soldiers even if he complains about it.
I do wonder what happened with GUN in the games. I think they did say that GUN was destroyed in Sonic Forces. I would like to see if they rebuild GUN in a future game, especially since the third Sonic movie is going to feature GUN.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!I want to believe that GUN was only "destroyed" in the sense of suffering a majorly crippling loss that forced them to go underground. and after Eggman's takeover is reversed, they're taking the time to gradually rebuild themselves while letting Sonic and company take care of any threats.
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."That's how I feel about GUN too. I don't think that SEGA would kill them off that easily, especially since they are a part of Shadow's character (when SEGA actually wants to be deep with Shadow's character).
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Where was Gun during Forces btw?
Mileena MadnessIn shambles.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh. They said that they were destroyed by Eggman, but they didn't really go into detail about what was going on with GUN during that time. I guess it was because SEGA wanted to make the Sonic brand lighter and softer by that point and featuring GUN would have made the mood darker.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!There is no source for it, but I'm sure this is all because of a mandate Sonic Team was listening at the time.
My theory is born based on the lack of humans since Colors, and how Sega of America mostly has been pushing for anthro NPC in Sonic Boom, Forces and IDW. Something must have changed, since we have Sage now (although she is an AI), and the humans have returned in Sonic Channel at least.
My guess is that Sega of America, who is more aware of the fandom at large, saw that humans were never popular characters but anthros were, and decided to focus on them. Hell, the most popular human character, Maria, is constantly being turned into an anthro by the community.
It is easy to suggest GUN wasn't in Forces because they were excluded from continuity, and barred from being mentioned.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I'm assuming it had something to do with Sonic 06's reception towards Elise.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!I dug around with the whole Eggman thing.
The base line thing Mike said (something about free the hostages in general) was pretty non offensive (don’t blame him as he’s Jewish and may have actually lost friends/loved ones on Oct 7).
Palestine side got aggro on him and he most likely flipped out. As someone who takes no side in that topic (Hamas can suck it, Israeli government sucks too, feel sorry for the people) I’m inclined to think touchy topic induced mess and leave it from there.
Afterall, the Palestine side on Twitter is extremely aggressive. Look at they did to Christina Vee as one of their signature actions.
It's more like Sega of America wanted Sonic to return to being like the good 'ol Classic days and blamed the trappings of the 3D games as the reason for the series getting criticized all the time. It was SoA who pushed for Sonic Team to make a Sonic 4 they could market as a nostalgic return, which lead to SoJ having Dimps rebrand the smartphone they were working on into Sonic 4. And Iizuka said when talking about Forces that it was people at SoA who pushed for Sonic games to not have vocal tracks which is why Generations and Lost World didn't have any.

Alternatively, perhaps they were still struggling to do human characters well, and until the live action movie happened, they hadn't really needed to for so long… though, yeah, I'll concede that Sonic '06 could easily have been a contributing factor.

Robin: Don't ever ask me to dock with you again. Serious...Arlo made a nice video about the ridiculous Twitter thread by Google Play about the Sonic games that just gets worse and worse as it goes on. A thread that feels AI generated in all the worst ways. It makes no sense at all.
I love that the official Sonic twitter's response was just a blunt, baffled "what are you doing?"
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Yeah, the Sonic account's response to the Google Play tweet was hilarious!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Like, just the fact that the Sonic twitter, famously great at one liners, can literally just go "huh?!"
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. How do people feel about the Tails Tube videos?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!
I miss the days when V As kept their political opinions to themselves...
