The good: The game plays well, the controls are good and the difficulty is decent. The enemies are varied (at least at first) and are pretty clever. The style and atmosphere of the game are very good, with the graphics being pretty great for their time and the animation being fluid and nice to look at. The array of skills is pretty good (although one wishes they incorporated more of the Lemmings-related ones) and they add variety to the game.
The bad: The game is rather short - if you're good at platformers, then this one will last 2-4 hours at best. Overall, the game feels as if the creators started running out of time and had to rush the production after making the first two worlds: the game has only 4 worlds total (with the last one consisting of only 2 levels before the boss level), there is only one type of enemy in the last 2 worlds, the first 3 worlds reuse the same boss while the end boss is a joke, and we are treated to a very disappointing A Winner Is You closure. Some of the skills aren't used as often as they should (basher, helicopter helmet, exploding helmet), and overall, the game just makes you wish it was developed a lot more.
Summary: What is already included in the game is, for the most part, very good, and the only real problem is that there's simply not enough of everything, with the bosses being rushed and there being no story or a proper ending (it would be very nice to have, at the very least, an intro and outro and some cutscenes between worlds). In my opinion, this game is in a desperate need of a HD remake that would really make it shine.
VideoGame A decent game that could have been a lot better.
