Kid going to Elbaf and Garp going to Fullalead happen in the same chapter.

  • Then CP0 and the Seraphim attack the Sunny and Stussy disables them. Then we cut away to see Marco and Weevil, which also reveals Miss Buckin is the original Stussy. Then we see that Kizaru is on his way to Egghead with Saturn, who gets named.

  • Then Pythagoras gets attacked in Among Us, which is immediately followed by the reveal that Vivi and Wapol are with Morgans.

  • Then everyone starts fighting the Seraphim. Then we see that Shanks is on Elbaf and Kid is gonna fight him.

  • Then more Seraphim fighting and York is revealed as the Imposter. After that is where we cut away from Egghead to see the rest of the world, starting with Shanks vs Kid.

By the way, if Oda's going to ever explain what happened last night and why Kaku and Robin were so heavily injured, next chapter would be the last good time. Maybe someone (Saturn himself?) asks why Robin isn't fighting back against Saturn, and Chopper explains that she got really badly injured last night defeating York when she fought the Seraphim using Demonio Fleur, and we get a short flashback showing it.

The main thing tripping me up was thinking that the stuff with Kid was a lot earlier then it actually is.

I know this is a REALLY WEIRD QUESTION... but who do you pair Robin with? Frobin (With Franky) or Jinbin (With Jinbe).

I love how popular these two pairings were for a while.

Neither. The only Strawhat ships I have are Nami and Luffy, Nami and Sanji (And even then Sanji x Pudding is the real Sanji ship for me.), and Usopp and Vivi. The only one of those that I actually think has a chance of happening though is Nami and Luffy since Nami's the Pirate Queen to Luffy's Pirate King.

[up] Knew it. To be honest I dont do either, but if a fic is well written and it makes the pairing beliveable I will love it anyway. I read mostly Frobin but I will never forget the Robin's "Handsome man" line to Jinbe. That's such an awesome moment, one of the best underrated moments.

That is a topic I don't really think much about this series in particular, but there is enough for Robin x Franky so that, if they are together in the epilogue, I wouldn't have any problem with it.

My one real solid rule is refusing to pair Luffy with anyone... except maybe Reiju on certain days, and I'm pretty certain that's just because I like the idea of Sanji being weirded out by someone dating his sister.

After a very busy week, I finally got to read 1113. Catching up with the thread, we got a fair amount of posts about the past indications that the world was sinking, but there's one idea I'm surprised to see missing from the conversation.

I think the One Piece comes with the knowledge that this was going to happen. Or at the very least, the Roger Pirates knew, and only then among the pirates. First Mate Rayleigh retired in favor of a job that would allow the biggest number of ships to survive underwater travels. Doctor Crocus builds his house inside a whale. Cabin Boy Shanks built a crew that discourages the consumption of Devil Fruits. Buggy is the only ex-Roger Pirate who didn't display any sort of countermeasure against the sinking of the world, and even so, he's the only ability-haver we've ever seen loathing the fact that they ever ate a Devil Fruit.

New One Piece episode!

CP 0 approach Punk Records and they encounter Zoro and Brook! Bonney chases Vegapunk, and finds her father's memories! Kid arrives to the coast of Elbaf and Garp plans to get to G-14 to get Koby!

Of particular, they added a new scene of young Vegapunk looking at someone whom he says that he made... like a clone...

Due to unfortunate events, i will continue to exist until further notice.

[up][up] Admittedly this brings about the somewhat morbidly humorous notion that the Fruit Users on Luffy's crew DEFY logic like this, jumping into the water recklessly too many times to count. I have this half-joking, half-somewhat serious theory that the ocean... has complicated feelings towards Luffy and his crew... that, yeah, it really would rather that Luffy wasn't a Devil Fruit User, and didn't jump in all the damn time... but like... even it needs him.

[up][up][up] Guess this is how they're gonna handle the Stussy reveal, since we don't have the cover story that's supposed to intersect at this point. (Although I think the episode might still adapt some of the cover story scenes, as the Blackbeard vs. Law episode did for Kuzan and Auger's attack in Totland.

Sometimes, Youtube comments DO provide good stuff!

From a video of the scene of Robin saying she wants to live.

Fun fact, the motion Zoro does with his sword is a special samurai gesture called "kincho." When a samurai makes a vow, they will draw their sword a bit and then sheathe it again, making sure the metals hit each other and produce a sound. This signifies that the vow must not be broken, and the samurai will give their life to fulfill the task.

Zoro just vowed to make sure Robin can return to them, or he'd die trying.

Speaking of that iconic scene, the Foxy Arc actually brings up a relevant plot point. That whole arc's thing, besides the Davy Back Games angle and Foxymania on full display, was perhaps the first arc in One Piece to detail the importance of the flag that Pirate Crews wave around, plant around, what they stand for, wave for, what they represent, and the power to come with them. It would seem like one of those throw-away bits in an already soft and light-hearted wacky arc, honestly...

...except then we cut to Enies Lobby, with Spandam very conveniently beginning to boast and brag about the World Governmental Flag, waving at the top of the building, boasting about its might, its significance, and how it can never be felled... and one of my really good friends, pointed out on a Discord DM that Luffy likely kept that flag lesson from the Foxy Arc in mind when looking at it. He saw the World Governmental Flag, knew exactly what it stood for, and knew exactly why it needed to be burned down. (Luffy's a fantastic judge of character, and Robin's a very near and dear friend and crewmember by this point. Something is going to be wrong with an organization that wants to screw Robin over, and Luffy is going to retaliate against said organization.)

Alright, but with the flag importance in the upcoming arc at the time about to come back in a very big way, I'm still positing that it was important they brought it back up at the Foxy Arc, as a reminder that this was a plot point to keep in mind.

I always found that the Davy Back fight being placed before Water Seven added more to the story then most people tend to agknowledge. An arc that affirmed the Strawhats sticking together as a crew before the arc that truly challenged that resolve.

I especially find it important that Robin was part of a story like that before Enies Lobby.

[up][up]Oh, I agree. It's just not the first time it's come up, the importance of the pirate flag is a recurring theme. It was even one of the reasons Luffy didn't like Kuro, he thought he could discard the flag like it was nothing.

[up]And yeah, the Davy Back Fight being all about losing crewmembers and getting them back in a fun way definitely set up for the Straw Hats to lose crewmembers in a very not fun way in Water Seven.

On another subject entirely, want to see my fighting game moveset ideas for Usopp and Sniper King (Pre-Timeskip Usopp)?

     Usopp

All of Usopp's moves labeled with “Aimable Projectile” can be aimed by holding the button and inputting directions before firing.

4S (Reflect): Impact Dial. Usopp holds out the Impact Dial to absorb attacks. Builds up damage for his 6S.

5L: Flame Star. Usopp shoots a small ball of fire. Ignites the opponent, which does low damage over time. Aimable Projectile.

5LL: Usopp Hammer. Usopp jumps forward, turns sideways, and swings his work mallet down. High. Puts out the opponent if they're on fire.

5LLL: Usopp Hammer, Usopp Hammer, Usopp Hammer, Rubber Band of Doom, Usopp Hammer. Usopp hits the opponent with his work mallet four more times, flinging a rubber band before the final one for good measure.

2L: Lead Star. Usopp squats and shoots a small lead ball forward. Aimable Projectile.

5M: Exploding Star. Usopp shoots a ball of gunpowder forward. Aimable Projectile.

2M: Caltrop Hell. Usopp throws caltrops on the ground, which do damage if the opponent steps on them. Low.

6M: Exploding Pine Cones. Usopp jumps and shoots a Pop Green that sprouts into a cluster of 6 pinecones which explode on impact. High.

5H: Skull Bombgrass. A Pop Green that sprouts into a giant red skull-shaped explosion. Aimable Projectile.

2S: Humandrake. Usopp shoots a Pop Green into the ground that triggers if the opponent steps on or moves over it in the air. When triggered, small human-shaped roots launch out of the ground and grab the opponent, holding them in place and forcing them to fall if they're in the air. Does 100 damage.

6S: Impact. Usopp does a palm-strike that releases all the damage built up by 4S. At 1,000+ damage, Usopp takes self-damage equal to half the damage above 1,000. Maxes out at 3,000 damage.

j.5L: Lead Star. Usopp shoots a small lead ball downward.

j.5M: Exploding Star. An exploding ball of gunpowder shot downward.
