I'd expect new forms for the starters' final evolutions, at leastnote . Otherwise... we might just get new megas. Or just new regionals and only old megas. Or only new megas for the new regionals
I’m certainly looking forward to whatever new stuff they do introduce. But how would it work if they didn’t have starters?

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!Just chuck balls at wild pokemon until you catch one
The next gimmick added for next gen will be the introduction of triple types. And to showcase that, Charizard will be reclassified as Fire/Flying/Fairy type, just to avoid ever making them permanent Dragons.

-Witty line-I'm more curious to see if Xerneas and Yveltal get anything extra in this game, similar to how Dialga and Palkia got Origin Formes in Arceus.
And what they do with Zygarde now that it probably gets its chance to shine in Kalos.
Wake me up at your own risk.I find it funny that Xerneas, a guardian of light, is a paragon of overwhelming offensive pressure. Meanwhile Yveltal is supposed to be a demon of darkness and yet its a defensive anchor that holds tiers together.
I would be down for an origin form of each that allows them to swap their offensive stats with their defensive stats. It would be fun to see them both become more defensive. Alternatively, they could get primal forms like Kyogre and Groudon where they need a held item (same goes for origin form) but both get overall stat buffs.
I discover my own destiny as I command the winds of life!NGL, I'm expecting Z-A to use the Kalos starters, but give them megas.
they both represent life and death not kingdomhea- I mean light and darkness.
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. Let's give it EVERYTHING we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIMEYeah, Yveltal being defensive makes sense because it's all about draining life from it's opponent. Therefore it lacks pure offensive power because it's more of a taker than a fighter.
Xerneas is pure offense because it's a fairy and those things are jerks.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Xerneas was probably a case of it being the first Fairy-type legendary, so it had to be strong in some way. Just being a support Mon couldn't do due to the lack of Double Battles, so it gets to have the offensive presence while Yveltal is more defensive.
Wonder what Zygrade upgrade we'll get.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I would guess Zygarde won't get a new form considering it already has a few. Giratina didn't get a new form in PLA.

If Alpha Pokemon (or whatever the equivalent in Z-A is) are in, one Pokemon I look forward to seeing is Alpha Noivern, especially if they manage to make it extremely unnerving to encounter at night.
I hope so as I want to bring my shiny alpha Gardevoir so I can mega evolve her.
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. Let's give it EVERYTHING we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIMESorry for the double post but I'm now starting my violet nuzlocke with a more unique rule set and I will be posting updates on it.
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. Let's give it EVERYTHING we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIMEHow will you be figuring out routes and the like? Proximity to Pokémon centers?
Secret Signaturemy answer to that is two pokemon per area to catch so that I don't lose too early, also I have to catch one before anything else so I can't skip the first pokemon in the area.
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. Let's give it EVERYTHING we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIMEAh yes I can see it. We will probably get a full power Yveletal or Xerneas forms at least.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Zygarde is def going to get some new forms. Maybe he’ll be able absorb Xerneas and/or Yveltal.

I doubt that, it’s a game named after him.
Arceus got a new form in his game. Not technically playable.

I hope Z-A has some new regional forms.
