Similar to the other "list" games, but instead of works in a specific medium, we list characters from any type of work! Simply post characters that fit the category in question, one at a time, and if you're the 10th and last poster, you start the next category!
Rules:
- Wait until there's at least 2-3 new entries since your last one, unless the thread hasn't had a new post in days
- No medium-specific categories such as "platformer game characters" or "comic book villains", ect. (EDIT: changed to explicitly ban these categories)
- More of a guideline than a strict rule, but try to avoid too specific/strict categories - just use your best judgment on this one and be open to broadening the category if needed
- Usually, the one who finishes the list (10th entry) starts the new category, unless they give this to someone else. If no new category is given after an hour or so, anyone can start the next list.
- Try to avoid reusing categories that were already played within the last week or last 4-5 pages or so, whichever comes last.
Let's start with... cat characters!

1. Gorr the God-Butcher (Thor: Love and Thunder; is far more sympathetic than his original comic book counterpart and actually willingly lets go of his vengeance in the end)
2. Mr. Freeze (Batman: The Animated Series; is given a tragic backstory where Freeze does his acts in an attempt to save his dying wife Nora)
3. Scorpia (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power; is a lot more friendly and prone to hugs than her more generic 80's counterpart)
4. Starscream (Transformers: Armada; turns on and conspires against Megatron due to mistreatment rather than a desire for power, forms a friendship with the humans, and actually dies to convince Galvatron to form an alliance with Optimus Prime against Unicron)
5. Tod and Copper (The Fox and the Hound; portrayed as innocent, wide-eyed youngsters who become friends despite their differences, while their book counterparts are much less sapient and moral)
6. Coriolanus Snow (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes; is more conflicted and sympathetic in the movie due to the loss of his internal monologue)
7. D an G (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean; his anime counterpart lacks his manga counterpart's backstory of being a cop who murdered someone because he believed in Nostradamus' world-ending prophecy, making his disfigurement and death come across as harsh)

9. Bloodsport (The Suicide Squad: In the comics, Robert Du Bois, alias Bloodsport, turned to villainy when he was too scared to fight in Vietnam, resulting in his brother losing all his limbs when he went in Robert's stead. This Bloodsport had an abusive father who raised him into a killing machine, including locking him in a chest for 24 hours with starving rats just to teach him a point, to the point that violence is really all he's ever known)
