The first episode seems to be considered the best, so I'm afraid that's not really going to be an accurate impression of the series overall.
Finished the 2nd.
I'll likely be the one not agreeing with the crowd, but at least 2 eps in it's still entertaining.
Its refreshing to see productions embracing cringeworthy comedic moments without blatantly attacking some social woe, or diving too far into degeneracy. Like Wade is a genuinely sweet guy who is as close to an American Dan Hibiki as we're going to get. He's not selling bathwater, he's just a bad bowler, a caricature of the kind of smalltown low-stakes "loser" Tom was in the first film.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).So, would one say the Knuckles show is So Okay, It's Average? Like, it isn't considered bad, but not quite as great as the movies and bogged down by the focus being on Wade instead of Knuckles as the show's title claims. That seems to be the consensus so far.
I’m watching Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and it’s as great as I remember.
Sonic and Tails wearing human disguises makes them look like South Park characters.
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Well now that I've finished it... yeah, So Okay, It's Average is a good fit.
The first 2 episodes are pretty good, but the latter four are a little too focused on Wade without enough Knuckles and Bootleg Knuckles Energy Guy to balance it out.
It also ends on one big "so that happened" without any follow-up, tease of what's to come, or any indication that Knuckles gained anything from this adventure. Feels like it wasn't made to stand on its own and like you're supposed to binge Sonic 1, 2, this, and then 3.
The lack of any actual music from Knuckles games is disappointing too.
I'm still happier that this existed and that we can have miniseries exploring the smaller, weirder parts of the setting.
There were some I think subtle hints to events past and possibly future too.

Oh thank Chaos, the only part of the show I actually wanted to watch.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.not in my country booo
New theme music also a boxWell, with the release of the Mufasa trailer, I can see a fandom rivalry heating up between it and Sonic 3.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. And I see a one-sided bullying like it happened with Detective Pikachu and the Sonic movie when we had Ugly Sonic.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.…Are Sonic fans bullying or being bullied, just so we’re clear? (I’m guessing the former)

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. In this case they bully.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I was afraid of that.
What are the odds of a Barbenheimer effect taking hold instead of the two cannibalising each other?

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Very little.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Detective Pikachu I *kinda* get (even if I think fandom rivalries are generally dumb) since they're both video game franchises. Why would Sonic fans bother picking a fight with Mufasa?
Sonic 3 and Mufasa are on the exact same date in December. That’s it. Everyone is saying that they are seeing Sonic 3 over Mufasa.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I think Tobias is super confident Mufasa will win this one.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.…Who is Tobias?
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Tobias Drake, he's a troper here. The one with the psycho anime girl profile.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Tobias underestimated Sonic before.
I'm interested in a little gamble with him over Mufasa actually. But I'm curious to see if the Mufasa prequel or the Sonic 3 movie will make more money.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. What’s your money on?
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Sonic 3. I'm biased, but I think it'll do better than the movie starring Mufasa. Brand recognition is on Sonic's side here.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.
I'm watching the first episode.
There is nothing offensive about this show so far.
