Sooo yesterday dropped news that Owlcat is doing Wrath of the Righteous adaption now and I'm first one to post about it?
Geez, do russian game devs just not get that much attention here? Or is it just case of not many pathfinder fans around this forum
Anyway, so uh, does that mean its time for new thread or thread rename?

Not sure - I think they don't get much exposure. There's some solid productions coming out of there but I think people in the West assume it's "shovelware" or lower quality.
I still need to pick this up for my ever increasing backlog. But again It'll probs cause choice paralysis for me if I play it "wrong" :D
Any expansions or a sequel planned for it? I like the idea of pathfinder, but the phone app game was just... annoying.
? I mean I did just bumb the thread to tell about this. I guess technically it is "sequel" if you count adapting another AP as a sequel

Nice! Wrath of the Righteous was my 2nd most hoped for AP for a sequel (after Reign of Winter).
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I think Iron Gods would be nice
So... what exactly am I doing wrong, aside from probably building my character incorrectly? Every place I've been after Oleg's trading post has wiped the floor with me (usually one-shotting Amiri), and now I've lost another party member to enemies I also can't fight. Where am I supposed to go?
It's been fun.So if there's a new game coming out that's cool and I'll look into it but I just bought this. I got the DLC with the Tiefling race because they are totally my kinda character.
Anyway I wanted to ask about something. How important is armor? Like, is staying Proficient in only Light Armor viable or is there no real reason to not get the better armors?
I'm thinking of playing a Magus.

^^What is your difficulty settings?
There isn't really anything wrong with turning them down further either
^In the Pen & Paper rpg version AC math gets wonky at high levels(after level 12) if you don't specialize in armor specifically, but its useful at low levels. Can't remember right now whether CRPG version was any different in that regard, but probably still okay advice to go by.
In general, this game is easier you play more you understand how Pathfinder 1e works. Though it would be easier to grasp for newbies with turn based mod because of the obvious reasons xP

Well yeah I was gonna use that mod anyway because why wouldn't you make a game like this turn-based? I always pause combat in KOTOR and NWN anyway.
Does this game have that helpful action crawl menu or whatever you call it that tells you all the dice rolls and shit going on when you or somebody else does anything? That's very helpful in NWN 1.

Rerolled my character into an Aldori DEX fighter, and things are going much more smoothly now. I'm just about to fight the Stag Lord and things are going pretty well, though the lack of magic in my party concerns me.
It's been fun.^^Yeah, I think so. I never really checked it often though because real time with pause I play on brain dead mode anyway(I can't keep track of real time with pause rpg combat, so I mostly just played on easy enough difficulty for me to pass the game).
I kinda find my habit of always playing without mods annoying in cases like these where I really want to play game turn based instead
But yeah more on the CRPG version: I'm not sure how AC math goes on cprg version compared to P&P version, but some of difficulty options in CRPG definitely turn math into wonky kinda masochistic mess. Like the option to boost enemy stats kinda increases them twice over(since it does stuff like both giving bonus to attack rolls and stat that gives bonuses on attack rolls meaning they have twice as much attack bonus as they would normally) unless they finally fixed that.

How much effect do you have over the story? Are there multiple endings, branching decisions, etc.?
It seems like there are a lot of different epilogues for the characters, at least, but I've heard that this game is nasty when it comes to hidden time limits, and decisions cropping up way earlier than they bear fruit - meaning you have plenty of time to screw yourself and then lose the save. So keep that in mind.
It's been fun. There are multiple endings to lot of quests yeah and one nasty case when game makes it seem like something minor isn't big deal only for it to turn out it is big deal
On the hidden timers, there aren't actually lot of them outside the main story stuff(and game is now more transparent with those), but there is no way to know which sidequests also have hidden timers since not all of them do :P
And this got funded rather fast compared to the last time I wonder if they break 1 million thistime
...Why is one of mythic paths a gold dragon?
Yeah I'm cautiously optimistic. You rarely see some of those concepts available as mythic paths handled well from a player perspective, so if they can do that I'm all for it. Stuff like Lichdom, time travel and trickstery are really interesting and while Kingmaker wasn't quite as flexible as one would dream, it was a pretty good attempt at it.
The problem is that I'm such a contrary bastard, that as soon as they say that there's the option to ignore them all and just be a really powerful human I kinda find myself tempted to do that. It'd be silly to ignore all those shiny new toys too, but I can see myself doing it too. And I tend to never replay games like these.
So far this kickstarter has been ridiculous They reach new stretch goal a day and still haven't slown down yet
Just started playing this and, wow, it's COMPLEX.
Do I want to multiclass? Should I multiclass the party? Holy hell they have ENCUMBRANCE?! Moral choices?
AHHHHH shiiiit.
But. So much FUN. Combat is punishing but in that Planescape / Balders Gate kind of way. Not as intuitive. A LOT to take in in terms of info around stats, powers, timing in combat etc.
Gone with a Freebooter for now, elf. Will see if I like it. Want to stab the little purple eejit. Also, need to work out the fatigue mechanic. May need a guide to ensure I get the right things... right. Also, totes want to romance the evil undead lady.
I'd recommend avoiding multiclassing unless character build complexity is your favorite thing
Then again I've always hated multiclassing
Yyyeah I'm going to stick with "being able to fire as many arrows as possible at them".
I would suggest taking a level or two in Rogue for the bonus Sneak Attack damage, too. They kind of fall off later, but it's a good extra bonus, especially with teamwork feats included.
It's been fun.
That was before all the updates though. Like nowadays kingdom building is much easier... Because game has proper tutorial :P Enhanced edition also updated the UI for it so its also clearer now.
(pretty much all guide dang it moments had to do with the kingdom building)
Like, after enhanced edition, the steam review percent finally went from mixed to positive
