Well, giant battles are pretty metal.
True, but to anyone who's ever studied historical warfare, you know that everyone blobbing up into moshpits with no space to use their weapons is a very, very, very bad idea.

Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.Well if you put them in Guard Mode they try and remain in formation.
Guard Mode wasn't a thing in Rome 2 or Attila. It pretty much hasn't been in the game since I think Fall of the Samurai.
Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.Yeah, but I studied movies so I'm pretty sure doing that sounds about right.
Guard Mode: Ah, that passive, handy little button. We should pester CA if it's missing.
As for the official trailers... Inspiring stuff, especially Emperor Franz's speech. Nice bait-and-switch with the Orcs.
WANT.
I wonder what the speech for the Orc general would be for his Orc Boys...

I dunno, that sounds a bit loud. Bet some uppity Boy would start yelling to get on with it, of course forcing da Warboss to bash 'is 'ead in.
A bit Loud, ya git? Da onlee reezon dey'd lettim' speech iz BECOZ iz loud!
Sorry for the doublepost, but I wonder, how do you think they should bring in the factions at the fringes of the Old World (read: Ogres, Tomb Kings, Nagash's Undead, Chaos Dwarfs, and Lizardmen)?

Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies. They look good. I like the armor particularly, kind of reminds me of the Iron Hill dwarves from LOTR.
I love how they're focusing on how the Dwarves fight and not how utterly stupid a lot of their fighting is for xD
It's a combination of Total War and Warhammer. The focus had better be about the fighting. The only ones who really seem to tout the Anit-War message at Creative Assembly are the ones who do the opening cinematics and the Van Dykes. They're the ones who snuck the anti-war credits songs into a couple of the games.
No, I'm talking about how Dwarves will go to war for something as trivial as two coins missing from a payment.
I know exactly what you meant. And focusing on something like that isn't what Total War is about. It's about fun battles and overcoming your enemies.
Chaos is probably going to be a DLC faction of some kind...
But yeah, TW Warhammer had best have a strong fighting game. Maybe not a match for Shogun 2 multiplayer (Shogun 2 was the acme of the e-sports side of Total War - partly because there was only one army type with variations), but it needs to be stronger than SPAM SARMATIAN INFANTRY. Attila had a strong campaign game but its fighting was lacking.
I think it'll be in one of the other expansion packs that they're coming out with. They'll be coming out with like three others, each with a new section of the world and new factions.
Love me some Richard Riding... Amusing that the Dungeon Keeper advisor is voicing yet another subterranean kingdom.
I... did not know Warhammer Fantasy had gyrocopters. I thought that was a goofy addition Warcraft made to the formula. The more you know!
What, the steam tank didn't tip you off?
The one thing that worries me from the in-engine trailer is that it seems like they haven't fixed the problem of battles turning into giant moshpits and units being unable to keep their formation.
