At any rate, made a thread for all discussion for Scooby-Doo comics here:

I found this video that has a more nuanced take on Velma tv series, The person on the video talks about representation, criticizes the criticisms of the show and how those things affected the perception of the show.
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."I loved that video, I ironically while I dont think I will ever watch Velma, I LOVED THIS video and subscribed immediately.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Does the video go as far as saying Velma is Good, Actually?
Optimism is a duty. Not really, they just found the show mid and the criticism overblown. They do point out some of the show’s positives, aspects where they actually saw themselves in the show, and pushed back against some of the criticisms though.

I finally got around to watching that video, and it brought up an interesting point about adult cartoons, but I think that's where the issue lies.
I don't think that Velma was trying to be something like Family Guy. I think it was trying to be a Scooby-Doo teen drama, they namedrop Riverdale in the first episode. It's supposed to be a comedy-drama, it's just that the main source of Comedy was weird meta jokes, and the mystery elements are barely foreshadowed, and it's impossible to figure out the answer before episode nine of ten.
But if you're looking for Scooby-Doo if it was an adult cartoon, watch Mike Tyson Mysteries.
I know they're not as good as the original or Mystery Incorporated but I'm honestly confused that several people don't like these designs of the Hex Girls. I think they look passable.
It's probably just a matter of taste. Googling them, I see a lot of design takes on them.
Optimism is a duty.I was never super fond of their original design (or overall concept, really - the "goths into witches and wiccans" thing in Witch's Ghost is super cringey and stunk of adult writers trying to relate to a youth movement they don't understand), but I do think they look better in better in series that allow them to have more of a color palate.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.well, the look of the movie are more define and have this edgy 2000 look, this look more....bland.
I mean is not much a mystery(hahahahaha), the writer did said they got inspired by harley queen show so one can said more or less what was their type of humor. But like family guy?....no
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"...Velma season 2 drops next Thursday. I'm sorry that that was the bump.
I'm guessing they took note of all the backlash the first season got because this one is near the point of Invisible Advertising.

Warner Bros deciding not to Turn off Comments for that trailer is amazing.
Watch SymphogearSo, Velma is legit bad, right? It's not just something the "culture warriors" hate? Sometimes it's hard to tell these days.
Basically, Everyone hates it.
It pretty much united the internet in how terrible it is.
Watch SymphogearWhich is impressive.
Getting both the left and the right to agree on something would be a massive accomplishment in a lot of cases.
Velma being Hated by All is an Epic Fail.
One Strip! One Strip!x5 and that they're released the trailer only 10 days before it comes out.
Hopefully the people professing their hatred remember to, you know, not watch it.

Wake me up at your own risk. The trailer at the very least isn't nearly as insultingly awful as the Season 1 trailer, but I didn't watch Season 1 and I'm sure as hell not watching Season 2.
It's been 3000 years…So back in the 90s, Velma kind of sorta appeared in the first story of Case Closed (Detective Conan):

Type in Reiko in the find option.
We talking about this person?◊
Also, I remember that first case in the show, where a person got decapitated on a roller coaster, and for some reason instead of blood, a huge pillar of light shot out of the victim's neck.
Hopefully the people professing their hatred remember to, you know, not watch it.
Reviewers need to watch it even if they hated it.
Yep. She had an additional bit in the manga version where she suggests the two men dressed in black (Gin and Vodka) could have pulled the murder off. Scene was included in the film variation of the story as well.
Some reviews are good and to an extent, but it arguably helps to pepper in some good viewing so as to demonstrate to Velma creators that generating hate isn't the most effective way to get success.
Is Velma Dinkley from Velma scrappy?
