I'm willing to buy that the protagonist is just an extremely selfless person.

I was actually wondering about the simply doing nothing strategy.

Personally, I hope its not a glitch and like a secret intended strategy. Its the most illogical response to this kind of thing and, by dying a lot, the less likely it might occur to you.

And... someone made porn of Foxxy and wrote and erotic Five Nights at Freddy's Fan Fic...

I don't know how to react.

Rule 34 after all.

Soooooo, this game is apparently the top subject on Know Your Meme. Having seen some gameplay footage, it appears to be one of those simple-yet-complex games. Your thoughts?

[up]Foxy and Gold Freddy freak the living fuck outta me, that's what. There's almost nothing you can do once Foxy is loose and the means of triggering Gold Freddy are totally random, meaning that despite even the best possible playthrough you can still end up dead!

And, yes, for such a simple concept it's quite a complex (and morbidly fun) game. Funny thing too is that there's absolutely nothing about the game that couldn't have been made in the in the early 90s, yet no company I know of ever really made a quality game like this. Just a whole lot of crap similar to Night Trap or puzzles like the MIST series.

Alright, I think it's time we sort something out; What exactly are the genders for Bonnie, Chica and Foxxy? I know Freddy is suppose to be a guy, but I always thought Bonnie and Chica where men too, with Foxxy being The Girl. But then someone on the TV Tropes page said Bonnie and Chica were girls. I've temporarily replaced that with Ambiguous Gender, but are they really women/Girls?

Bonnie and Chica are rather feminine names, so I'd say they're girls.

Chica is called a female because the robot has like eyelashes, a feature the others lack.

I usually don't comment on games I've never actually played before, but for this game, I think I'll make an exception after seeing Markiplier's LP of it and reading extra stuff about it on TV Tropes and the fan wiki.

I now have an odd fascination with this game. It has a really great concept, and what little backstory there is happens to be interesting, but there is no way I would actually play it myself. I'm way too much of a wimp for that.tongue That being said, I do have a question: In RL, would the type of doors you use in the game actually open if the power went out, or would they stay closed?

I'm pretty sure they would stay closed. 'Cause they'd need power that doesn't exist to go back up, right?

But then again, you'd probably just die of starvation or thirst...

My thoughts at the moment are that the concept is interesting but it needs refinement; namely that there's a lot of Fridge Logic at play here. Why would any robot, particularly one in a CHILDREN'S RESTRAUNT be programed in such a way? Why are you doing this for such minor pay? Why don't you bring a charger with you on the second night so you don't run out of tablet charge? And they aren't that absurd of questions either.

I would be curious if they found a way to... This isn't the word I want to use, but 'upgrades'? Like, you could buy a Generator that will keep you at 100% until the robots eventually turn it off? Idk, I feel like the robots upgrading their tactics each night while you can't do anything new could be a place of investigation.

#71: Aug 17th 2014 at 2:24:25 PM

[up]That's the only explanation I can come up with, but the game doesn't seem to lend itself to the idea and suggesting that they're just following their programing which is where we hit our Fridge Logic.

I saw a theory that Freddy's is actually located in Night Vale.

It's really the most sensible theory I've seen for this game.

I'd think that if Freddy's was in Night Vale, the guard would have come more prepared, because killer robots probably doesn't even register a 4 on most citizens' "Weird Shit-o-Meter".
