Five Nights at Freddy's

So Achievement Hunter did a thing in this game. I'm not one for horror games anyway but sheesh, this is a unique take on survival horror XD

Costumes are expensive. Paychecks are $120 per week, and they probably have a number of paychecks that don't get cashed from guys who didn't survive.

I just now noticed that the help wanted ad said that there was a risk of injury/dismemberment.

Well, you can't say that you weren't warned...

There appears to be a fifth member of the Freddy's crew in this game...

What I don't understand is why you continue working there if you survive the first night.

The pay can not be that good.

Gold Freddie? You know, part of their AI. Yeah, because they can change the poster and appear inside your room even with the doors closed before killing you unless you switch off the camera quickly!

It's 120$ for 5 Nights (You get the check if you survive that long). It is indeed not good pay.

And you get what, a 50 cent bonus if you do six nights?

Seriously?

I'm not convinced the protagonist isn't just suicidal.

Either that, or he's extremely desperate and/or stupid.

Or simply (and literally) glued to that seat. :P

Maybe the "they are programmed to protect the place" rule includes "employees trying to leave the area".

Well, yeah, you can't leave while you're working. But like I said, after the first night, you could quit easily.

So, what do you guys think? Are these Robots Programmed badly or do you think they're plain evil?

I think they're evil, especially with the Game Breaking Gold Freddy basically being a Demon.

Considering they ACTUALLY taunt you, They're either evil or REALLY stupidly programed.

Like, WHY would they even have that function to stuff a robotic exoskeleton back into the costume... which seems to already have an exoskeleton in it based on how you die? WHY? WHY would you program it that way?!

I'm curious. Which one do you guys think is becoming the most feared out of all five animatronics?

The Fox I'd imagine since more people know about him than the others.

After seeing some gameplay of Nights 2-5, I have to agree. O_O

It's a tossup between Freddy and Foxy. Freddy actively screws with you and learns how to exploit your weaknesses, while Foxy is more predictable, though if he gets out of that curtain you damn well better shut the door.

I think they're both pretty menacing. *points to Gold Freddy*

So... is this game as terrifying as all the Youtube thumbnails make it look?

Because I want to watch the videos... but I'm afraid I won't be able to sleep.

It's even scarier. Trust me, there's nothing worse than looking at the cameras trying to find one of the robots, only to close the tablet and be attacked by the one who managed to sneak inside while you weren't looking. Not to mention Freddy, who learns from your patterns and Gold Freddy, who appears randomly if you see a certain poster.

But none of these compare to running out of power and listening to that music box tune, knowing your doom is certain...

I just watched Smell Feet You Have on You Tube beat the game by doing absolutely nothing. So I guess you really can just play dead & still win.

Seems like a glitch to me, unlike the stupidity of Facade.

The protagonist only stayed past the first night to protect others from the same fate, and is actually an incredibly brilliant person.

I would agree with that WMG, because it's better than considering the protagonist an idiot.
