That scene was adorable.
I liked that scene more than I like her, honestly. I often find her more annoying than not. I kinda want to see more of the actual couple. Or either of them, really.
Check out my fanfiction!B-But Mashiro-tan's so cute
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI find her to be around the third or fourth cutest character in the series.
Check out my fanfiction!Mashiro is the least cute of the trio, and in my opinion is also lower than VP girl on the cuteness scale.

Well, with the mystery of what happened out of the way, I suppose the next thing that needs answering (if and when it becomes relevant) is what that outline Kobeni vaguely remembers belongs too.
I'm kinda hoping for aliens. Just because.
Wow, talk about a Mood Whiplash. (Heroic BSoD Dull Eyes of Unhappiness) "I really am...the worst..." *cue Mashiro World*
Anyhow, Kobeni is awesome. I want one!
Considering how they keep bringing up his injury, any chance that Hakuya may have sustained permanent damage from that incident in the past?

Non-readers theorize that his sleepiness is a result of the accident.
And OBVIOUSLY this has to be one of those series with no scanslators (according to Baka-updates) despite having several volumes already.
Complete set of the images from the OP. They're definitely styled like the type of pics you'd find in fashion mags or idol photo albums.
As for the episode itself, whoah, I think that little burst of speed there by Hakuya shows that the people theorizing that he isn't quite human may be on to something. Also take note how the tree outside Hakuya's family home has a shimenewa, of all things, which in anime means that either it's a holy place, or something is sealed nearby.
I mean, even Mashiro admits it. "We're kind of half-assed beings, after all."

I'd bet on fox spirits of some sort.
And Benio actually can go back in time?
Anyway, there goes the "best non-supernatural SOL show this season award".
Pft, we all know that it belongs to Super Sonico anyway.
Actually, Fuuri-chan is supposedly a tanuki. That and, well, Manager-san...
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI guess Mashiro's certainty of perpetual future flatness would make more sense if her family is some kind of spirit that is always like that. That wouldn't fit kitsunes since they're shapeshifters and are generally supposed to be beautiful. If anything, I find it more likely that they're oni given the mountains thing and that oni are a lot vaguer. My knowledge of Japanese spirits is pretty vague though.
Episode 4. In which there's a sick, cute girl.
"I can't go to school with Benio and without you or Kobeni." She's got a point.
You know, by now Benio should probably realise how non-aggressive Hakuya is...
She says he looks a little down, but he looks just as usual. And then she says she can't read him at all?
"She was completely listless without you there, so it was a relief for me!" Well, at least someone is happy.
He's fast.
Should she be running if she's still not entirely well?
So he does smile.
"Of course we took trains and busses to get here!" She's such an honest little girl.
Total Shipper on Deck of a friend. Well, that kinda seems to be the default reaction here...
Wow, she's really good at reading him.
Masochist to the core.
A message saying they'll send someone to check on them on an arrow. Kind of feels a little like a threat...
Honestly, I don't think it would matter much if they're not entirely human, but it depends on how much they play it up. They might just be very weird.
Check out my fanfiction!I hope they don't play it up to much. I'm kinda sick of things that look, act, etc, etc like a human angsting about not being human. Given they way this has gone so far, I'm not to worried at though. and it probably gets solved when the person they sent to check on them shows up
Heck, even if he can run across mountains carrying his little sister and all their luggage he's probably still closer to your average high school student than Benio is.
The friends' design totally reminds me ofsomeone and I can't quite place it. Aargh.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntShe's relatively similar to Manami, I think.
I'm still bugged about who Kobeni reminds me of in the intro...
Check out my fanfiction!Totally expecting Hakuya and his sister to be youkai now. Hakuya is most likely a dog or wolf demon. Kobeni did remember for a moment what happened in the accident and she remembers falling on something soft like fur. I'm betting he transformed back.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.
Inukami or Ookami, or something like from the Wolfs Children — literally Japanese Garou. Even if they're half-human, half-wolf halfbreeds, that's likely enough of a reason why the family or clan stays secluded in the mountains.
Episode 4: This is going places I approve of.
Dat flustered Kobeni.
New week new episode!
Well, the cat — or maybe dog in this case — is out of the bag. Funny how Mashiro and Hakuya's mom is just chill in flat-out admitting that she and her children aren't exactly human. Take note though that she doesn't specify just what kind of beings they are, but I'm going with Inugami or Oukami for now. Is it because Kobeni's almost family at this point?

Mother-in-loli reminds me of Isumi for some reason.
Hakuya has zero presence. It's kind of impressive actually.
Inugami are actually kinda evil(well, seething masses of rage at least) according to the other wiki. I wonder if that comes up. wolf spirits maybe? They probably would be Garu in the west.
I'm guess we'll never actually know, so the title makes sense.
What, you never watched Inukami before, which featured scads of them? Stuff like this depends on the depiction an artist is going for, and the Mitsumines are actually pleasant folk.
Works Page: Mikakunin de Shinkoukei
Well, we've been clogging the Winter 2014 thread long enough so, I'm opening the thread.
For a primer, as what I put in on the page when I made it:
So, the panel is now open for discussion. Before we begin though, again, the GIF of Mashiro dancing [1]◊.
