@ Rinsankajugin: Merus means unpurified wine? That's actually kind of fitting for someone who was only an angel in training.
You know, I've always wondered where Shenron and other wishing dragons live when they're not being summoned by the Dragonballs. From what I understand there's some sort of Dragon Realm but I might be misremembering (and if so I don't think it's ever really been explored)
I don't think that film was ever considered canon, it doesn't really fit into the canon events.
Ah, love the Dragon Ball wiki. That really should just be in the original Makankosappo article instead of being its own thing, especially with a videogame name for it.
There was no reason to consider any of the original movies canon...
Timeline nerds aside.
You never needed to see them, they don't get referenced in the series outside of...1 instance.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Yeah, Merus is a latin term.
AFAIK only the Garlic movie gets alluded to... In the non-canon Garlic Jr. return filler arc from the anime that itself never gets acknowledged outside of the equally non-canon GT
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."The only ones that can reasonably be placed in the canonical timeline are, as others have pointed out, the first Coola film, and the Bojack one. Coola could happen in the three years worth of training waiting for the Androids to appear, and Bojack after Trunks has returned from his timeline after defeating 17, 18, and Cell to tell the protagonists of this. Even then though, there are some things that don't make sense, such as no one but Piccolo showing up when Coola and his minions' huge battle powers approach Earth, plus Goku and Gohan seemingly not being able to call upon Super Saiyan/Super Saiyan 2 at will in either film.
Edit: Oh, and the last one! Although Buu being completely absent/unmentioned is pretty strange.

Missed opportunity to have one of the fighters on Universe 6's TOP team be an expy of Garlic Jr.
It's probably because it's not a named attack in the manga, unlike when the Makankosappo is used. So you could interpret is as simply being a generic ki blast attack with a fancy effect, or you could interpret it as Piccolo doing training during the timeskip to make a better version of the Makankosappo.
Either way, it definitely doesn't imply that there was a hypothetical no-charge version of the attack during the Raditz fight, that goes against what Piccolo tells us.
And even then, at the time the first Cooler movie was made, the people making it likely has no way of knowing that there'd be a three-year gap soon.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Not really. At least with Bojack it works because it's between the Cell/Buu gap.
I buy that Goku just had performance issues with Super Saiyan because he was having an off day, and Gohan regrowing his tail and then cutting it out.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Is this scene from the manga or Anime only?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. What do you mean? There's a whole 3 years worth of training between Mecha Freeza and Gero/19 showing up. Coola could pretty reasonably be slotted into there without too many contradictions.

x2 It is in the manga as well.
I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person.Ah okay.
So can we discuss Toyotaro for a bit? I just found out he made a Dragon Ball AF manga before he got hired.
And Frieza's mom is a Supreme Kai? Xicor is a thing?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Yup, Buu as Barry Khan is indeed in the manga:
It's a really weird scene, in hindsight. Like it really conflicts with Buu's whole childlike persona.
The frieza's mum thing is weird when you Frieza doesn't have one. Toriyama stated he's a one gender race and his father alone sired him.
Wait this is Barry khan. As jn the bad guy of super.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Yup, Barry is from the manga, he wasn't invented by Super.
Yeah, him being a borderline creep feels way off.
Amusingly, this does kind of fit in with how the Majin race was created since Buu found Satan's porn magazine.
In the comic, Frieza's mom is actually an evil Supreme Kai who wanted to use him to take over the universe, then that plan changed the moment Goku defeated him, and so she stole his DNA while he was in Yardrat to make an artificial son to then take over the world.
Which is such a.....wild idea.
Amusingly, it reminds me of Zamasu and Goku Black, as well as Towa and Mira.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Well that's different. His actual origin is that his race asexually reproduce or maybe he's like Boba Fett (an advanced clone). He doesn't have a mother.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Granted, Akira Toriyama was very vague on what he meant on Frieza being born of his father only, since the interviewer noted it.
And there's nothing that concretely confirms that Frieza's race has only one gender.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I think it's possible he meant he was advanced clone rather than his species reproduce a sexually.

Piccolo does in fact use the Makankosappo again, during the fight against Nappa. This two-handed variation was later named the Double Demon Burst, but it seems that the original intention was that this is just the Makankosappo when you don't have an arm blown off.
