I actually like the novelty they handled as well. Both James Earl Jones and Mark Hamill did multiple roles in their respective episode.

Surprised they just referred to the Cylons as "mighty robots". And it's not like the show didnt know about science fiction, Tom Baker (just his appearance, it wasnt a guest star role) appeared a few seasons earlier as one of the representatives of Television.
