As of May 2024, there is no specific spoiler policy for this thread, which means the the default forum spoiler policy

In summary:
- Spoilers for non-episodic works should remain tagged for a minimum of one month after the work's release.
- Spoilers for episodic works (including any DLC) should remain tagged for one month or until the next instalment releases, whichever is shorter.
There hasn't been much good news in months for people who want more Legend Of Heroes VI in English. Xseed has apparently been translating the second installment for PSP, but no release date yet, and they apparently have not had much sales success. Meanwhile, there have been no official statements about releasing the Windows versions in English.
But thanks to this Andriasang article, I learned that Aeria Games (best known for MMORPGs) plans to release the Trails in the Sky trilogy internationally on smartphones. Some online and social functions will be added to the basic gameplay. No clear indication of what international smartphone platforms just yet.

I'm still bummed Rean hasn't so much as met or mentioned Anelace. It's like, they had the opportunity to integrate him into existing character relationships, but nah.

Oh yeah, so some shit happened, the lodge Estelle was staying out got ransacked, and only the one mechanic survived and escaped, conveniently enough, to provide support for Estelle and Anelace.
So not sure how to feel about this new fast travel system, yeah it's MORE convenient, but I kinda miss the old burden of having to trek around the map trying to find where I'm supposed to go or where the local monsters targets are.
It's a classic game inconvenience that creates ebb and flow in the gameplay. It's like adding a fast travel system in Wind Waker, half the fun of that game is the sailing.
Oh yeah, so the so called Jaegers are in a training facility fortress designed for Bracers...

This is the only part of the game with a fast-travel map, because they didn't wanna make all the filler roads between them I guess.

Although the latter is rather limited compared to other series, there are very few doujins out there. Especially translated. The majority of them translated are fluffy Alisa doujins set over the course of CS 2-4.

Starting to get adventure gamey here.
I joked about the first game reminding me of all those adventure games I played as a kid, but now this might become Estelle's Maniac Mansion.
I love how the shitty acting here is conveyed with crappy dialogue. If you're going to threaten Bracers, DO A BETTER JOB.
And during the fight, the so called Jaeger started spouting German words, like counting from eins, zwei, drei.
I understood this because of the Hydreigon line from Pokemon. I love how the Jaegers just have to sprinkle in German because their job title is German for hunter.
Kinda weird the only one who uses German in Cold Steel so far besides Fie, is Sara of all people, she's not even from Erebonia.

There is a grand total of... 1 Rean x Laura. As I said its all Rean x Alisa for Cold Steel, its a major source of contention in the community.
And the actual German usage is reserved for Jaegers, like they will answer with 'Ja' and such. Fie and Sara are ex-Jaegers.
The fight you are at is the hardest Nightmare fight in the franchise. Like seriously there are hard fights and then there is that one.

So basically yeah, Kurt and the others staged the entire thing as a final exam to test out how Estelle and Analece would react and use their knowledge against a situation like this. Also to prepare them against Jaegers who judging from how the game suddenly brings them up like some big deal, are going to be relevant. Hmmmmm....IIRC, Campanella mentioned something about how Ouroboros had some kind of enhanced Jaegers at their disposal yet they paled in comparison to Red Constellation's brutality and effectiveness. Seems I'm going to meet them soon.
Estelle and Analece beat themselves up over how they failed to realize it was all a prank bro, but they still passed and that's all that matters.
Well I guessed it was all fake the moment they put us in the training field unharmed, but it WAS suspicious that Kurt suddenly was on death's door because his arm was injured.
Hmmmmm all this lore on how Jaegers and Bracers are at odds with each other does put Fie deciding to be a Bracer in a different light.

Jaegers and Bracers are essentially competitors, get hired to do work for people. Jaegers are only in it for the money and will do under the table sketchy stuff while Bracers mostly do over the table clean stuff.
You hire Bracers to escort a convoy, you hire Jaegers to attack or escort it essentially.

Cold Steel took a lot of the dating sim and school elements from Persona and wrapped them into more of a straight up RPG... of course Three Houses copied much of what Cold Steel did for its game.
